What is the climate like in Australia and New Zealand in early January or early February?

January and February are summer here, but the temperatures vary from region to region. I am in Brisbane, on the east coast of Australia, in the subtropical zone. The highest temperature in January and February does not exceed 33 degrees Celsius, and it is cooler at night, around 20 degrees Celsius. If you are in Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide, it should be cooler at night. New Zealand should be cooler than Australia.
