The four directions of the east, south, west and north under the treasure cover on the top of the tower are respectively engraved with sixteen characters: "Wen Yun Tian Kai, Yan Pagoda Title, Jade Xun Ling Xiao, Ding Xin Ge Gu". The Wuding White Pagoda is majestic and looks white and sacred from a distance, hence the name "White Pagoda". The tower was damaged and tilted, but has been repaired.

The Wuding White Pagoda is an important physical material for studying the history and architecture of Luowu Yi people in Wuding.

In February 1986, the Wuding White Pagoda in Chuxiong was listed as a county-level key Cultural relic protection unit.
