The Origin of Qianfo Mountain in Jinan

Qianfo Mountain was called Mount Li in ancient times; According to legend, when Yu Shun was a citizen in ancient times, he worked at the foot of Lishan Mountain, so it was also called Shunshan or Shungeng Mountain. Wanfo Cave 1

Wanfo Cave, located at the northern foot of Qianfo Mountain, is a great scenic spot in Qianfo Mountain, built at 1992. It combines the essence of Dunhuang, Longmen, Maijishan and Yungang Grottoes. After careful selection and painstaking reproduction by artists, nearly 30,000 buddhas, bodhisattvas, disciples and heavenly kings were imitated.
