Experimental study on the relationship between object color and heat absorption
Experimental preparation
In order to ensure the accuracy of the experimental data, I went to the laboratory one class in advance and carefully selected several accurate thermometers. The students prepared four colors of paper and schoolbags.
Experimental process
Students do outdoor activities in an orderly way, do experiments quietly, and stare at the thermometer for fear of missing any detail. However, due to the cloudy weather and different class hours, the experimental phenomenon is not obvious. In addition, the experimental process is long, which leads to the last link-drawing line chart can only be completed after class.

The students drew some interesting conclusions from the experimental data. They found that the temperature of black paper rose fastest and highest, while that of white paper rose lowest. But by the sixth minute, the temperature remained basically the same. As for the problem that the temperature of aluminum foil paper is almost the same as that of black wax paper and art paper, I guess it may be caused by the material characteristics of aluminum foil paper. Visually, the surface of aluminum foil paper is smooth and reflective, indicating that the object with rough surface has stronger heat absorption ability.
Thinking and summarizing
Although there are some challenges in the experiment, the students have drawn some interesting conclusions from the experimental data. I hope they can really understand this scientific phenomenon and further explore the relationship between color and heat absorption.
