During the Spring and Autumn Period, there were a group of historians in the Qi and Jin Dynasties, who wrote books and made statements and sacrificed their lives for martyrdom, especially Taishigong in the Qi State and Donghu in the Jin Dynasty. Although the Taishi of Qi was killed by Cui Yao, a powerful minister, his two younger brothers were indomitable and continued to write like this because of his direct book Cui Yao killed the king. Cui Wei was awed by the righteous spirit of the Taishi brothers, and finally put down the butcher's knife.
Dong Hu, the Grand Master of the State of Jin, wrote "Zhao Dun regicide" because he was not afraid of powerful people, and was praised as "a good history in ancient times" by Confucius. Since then, China historians have followed suit and become an iron law of China's ancient historiography.
However, it must be pointed out here that under the arrogance of China's feudal monarchy, it is obviously impossible for historians of past dynasties to do this without a sense of integrity. Because of this, Wen Tianxiang, a national hero, praised "Bamboo Slips in Qi Taishi, Tiger Wall in Jindong" in Song of Benevolence and Righteousness.
