Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County is located in the middle of Gansu Province and the south of Wuwei City. Wild Chinese herbal medicines mainly include velvet antler, musk, codonopsis pilosula, astragalus root, notopterygium root, rhubarb, Gentiana macrophylla, cordyceps sinensis and so on. Rich in mineral resources, 22 kinds of minerals have been proved, with occurrences 134. Non-ferrous minerals mainly include iron, manganese, nickel, copper, lead, zinc, gold, titanium and rare earth. Non-metallic minerals mainly include coal, gypsum, phosphorus, barite, limestone, quartzite, dolomite, clay, kaolin and oil shale.
