In September 2009, the focus interview was called Blind Village. China began to implement radio and television "every village" project from 1998. After 10 years of efforts, this project has solved the problem of more than 200,000 "blind villages". In order to enable more remote areas, especially ethnic minority areas, to listen to radio and television, the relevant departments have adopted some new methods. Wuren Jirigala is a herdsman of Xinbaerhu in Zuo Qi, Inner Mongolia. There are more than 80 families in his village, scattered in the area of 193 square kilometers. Before April 2009, only more than 20 families in the village could watch TV, mainly relying on small-scale networking. China began to implement the "every village" project from 1998. Originally, wired networking was used to cover a small area, but it is difficult to solve the problem of wired networking for scattered herders like Wurenjirigala. In order to solve this problem, China launched a direct broadcast satellite in 2008, which gave the "every village" project a new way. In April this year, the home of Wuren Jirigala installed the receiving equipment of the direct broadcast satellite. His TV can watch many sets of high-definition digital TV programs for free, and watching TV has become an indispensable part of his and his family's life. Some villagers have also mastered the information and technology of getting rich through TV programs. Satellite live broadcast is the main way of "every village" project construction in the new period. Direct broadcast satellite not only transmits many programs, but also has good reception quality and low construction, operation and maintenance costs. Transmission standards are also independently developed in China, which can ensure information security and facilitate management. At present, the first batch of 3.66 million sets of direct broadcast satellite receiving equipment in China have been installed in the homes of farmers and herdsmen. These changes benefit from the new goal of "every village is connected" put forward by the State Council in September 2006: by the end of 20 10, more than 20 "blind villages" with electricity should be connected with radio and television, and the wireless coverage level of radio and television in rural areas should be greatly improved. At present, the "village-to-village" project is listed as the "No.1 Project" for rural cultural construction, and people expect this "No.1 Project" to bring more benefits to farmers and herdsmen in remote areas.
