What are the architectural features of Ding Dianxiang's mansion, the champion of the Wu Dynasty?
The gate of Ding Dianxiang Mansion is east-west, and the plaque on the door is engraved with the six characters of "Qin Dingwu Champion Mansion" given by Emperor Jiaqing in gold. There are flagpole stacks made of bluestone on both sides of the gate, and there are horse-mounting stones, horse-dismounting stones and horse-tying piles next to them.
There are two black painted doors in the tall gatehouse, and there are two tiger-headed knockers on the doors. The door is wide enough to enter the sedan chair, and the threshold is half a meter high.
Walking into the gate, the blue brick building is elegant, and turning south into the second door is the first quadrangle. There are three main rooms in the North Hall, with brick and wood structure, four beams and eight columns, and wooden window sills, which are exquisitely carved.
There are also four doors and three courtyards in the Champion House, all of which adopt the architectural pattern of blue bricks, small tiles, four beams and eight columns. Among them, there are two west courtyards, which are magnificent and have their own characteristics. Perhaps to borrow the aura of these top literati, many dignitaries and politicians in the past dynasties chose to live in Zhaode block.
