Introduction to Niutoushan Attractions
Wuyi Niutoushan National Forest Park is located in Wuyi County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, which is known as "Huaqing Pool in the South of the Yangtze River and Peach Blossom Spring in the Central Zhejiang Province". It is 60 kilometers away from Wuyi County and has a total area of 1327.69 hectares.
The park belongs to the Zhongshan landform, with many peaks, towering into the sky, and numerous peaks more than 1,000 meters tall. Niutoushan, the "No. 1 peak in Jinhua Eight Wu", is 1,560 meters above sea level. It is not only named after immortals, but also because of water. The green lake and waterfalls accompanied by ancient trees and cliffs, as well as the passionate temptations of rafting, climbing and playing in the waves, allow tourists to embrace the rapids and reach the peak of happy life while visiting immortals and asking questions.
Rafting in Niutoushan Shenniu Valley has dangerous peaks and steep cliffs, deep gorges and fast currents. The newly-established rafting can be called "the first rafting in central Zhejiang". The entire rafting journey is 3 kilometers, with more than 20 large and small drops.
The highest drop is 2.6 meters. There are dense forests and strange rocks on both sides of the river, with animals leaping and birds flying, creating a harmonious and original scene. The water conservation and water quality purification of good vegetation have created beautiful water comparable to that of Jiuzhaigou Valley. The river flows down the mountain, making thousands of turns, and the winding paths lead to secluded areas. It has the novelty of "there are mountains and rivers, and there is no path, and the willow banks and the flowers are blooming in another village."
Recommended other scenic spots in Wuyi County:
1. Yuyuan Ancient Village
Yuyuan Village is located in Yuyuan Township in the southwest of Wuyi County. It is the founding father of the Ming Dynasty. Liu Bowen asked people to design and build it according to the arrangement of celestial bodies and stars, so it is also called Tai Chi Star Village. It is said that the feng shui of this place is excellent.
When I first arrived at Yuyuan Village, I was faced with an S-shaped stream, which circled the paddy fields into a huge Yin-Yang Tai Chi diagram, allowing people to feel the mystery of Tai Chi astrology. Who would have thought that this little-known village contains more than 1,200 ancient buildings from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The exquisite and gorgeous wood carvings, brick carvings and stone carvings in ancient buildings are breathtaking.
2. Guodong Ancient Village
Guodong Village is probably the most "famous" among the ancient villages in Wuyi, and has the reputation of "the No. 1 Feng Shui Village in Jiangnan". "The scenery outside Guodong is ancient, and the sun and moon are long in the cave." This couplet engraved on the ancient city wall at the entrance of Guodong Village reveals the hidden beauty of this ancient village with a history of more than 600 years.
3. Fancun Ancient Village
Today, this ancient camphor tree that witnessed the catastrophe is still standing by the Wuyi River. It has become stronger and stronger after hundreds of years of wind and rain. It takes 5 people to hug him. There are three well-known stone tablets in the rebuilt Fan's Ancestral Hall, which are located in the inner walls on the east and west sides of the ancestral hall gate, and are all embedded in the wall.
In addition to the flower hall, there are still a considerable number of ancient buildings scattered in Fan Village. After walking through the entrance of the flower hall, turn right along the village lane, and there is another ancient building under the corridor at the corner. Going forward, there is another place. If you choose any building and walk in, you will feel like you have dreamed back thousands of years, feeling the rich charm brought by history, and you will inadvertently discover surprises you have never seen before.
