The main responsibilities of Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau
According to the "Notice of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Shenzhen Municipal Government on Issuing the "Shenzhen Municipal People's Government Institutional Reform Plan" (Shenfa [2009] No. 9), the Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau (referred to as the Municipal Government) was established Meteorological Bureau (under the brand name of Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory) is a working department of the municipal government and is under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Human Settlements and Environment Committee. The main functions are as follows:
(1) Implement national laws, regulations, rules and policies related to meteorological work, draft relevant laws and regulations, formulate meteorological development plans, meteorological disaster prevention plans and related policies, upon approval Organize and implement later.
(2) Responsible for the management of the meteorological industry, protecting the meteorological detection environment in accordance with the law, managing foreign-related meteorological activities within the administrative region, and guiding and supervising various meteorological activities.
(3) Responsible for the management of meteorological data sharing, organizing and managing the collection, distribution and exchange of meteorological sounding data and astronomical observation content; responsible for the technical review of important meteorological facility construction projects and meteorological equipment measurement examine.
(4) Responsible for the management of meteorological disaster prevention work, undertaking cross-regional and cross-department joint prevention monitoring and forecasting of major disaster weather; organizing meteorological disaster risk assessment and disaster cause definition work; participating in responding to climate change.
(5) Manage public welfare weather forecasts, disastrous weather warnings, professional weather forecasts and public meteorological services related to the urban environment and natural ecology, undertake emergency meteorological support services, and manage meteorological information spread.
(6) Responsible for the management and utilization of climate resources, and responsible for conducting climate feasibility studies on urban planning, national key construction projects, major regional economic development projects and large-scale climate resource development and utilization projects.
(7) Responsible for releasing public welfare meteorological information, weather forecasts, severe weather warnings, meteorological disaster warning signals, urban environment weather forecasts, fire hazard weather forecasts and other special forecasts.
(8) Responsible for formulating artificial local weather modification operation plans, managing, guiding and organizing the implementation of artificial local weather modification operations.
(9) Responsible for the management of balloon launches, organization and management of lightning disaster prevention work, and inspection of buildings, structures and other lightning protection facilities.
(10) Organize publicity and popularization of meteorological and astronomical scientific knowledge, raise awareness of meteorological disaster prevention and reduction and climate resources; carry out meteorological scientific and technological cooperation and exchanges.
(11) Supervise the implementation of relevant meteorological regulations and investigate and deal with violations of meteorological regulations in accordance with the law.
(12) Undertake other matters assigned by the municipal government and superior departments.
