How to distinguish sound by measuring blood pressure?

Hello! First of all, I wish you good health! Let me tell you how to measure your blood pressure.

Balloon sphygmomanometer is commonly used in hospitals, and there are many instruments for measuring blood pressure in society. Generally, it is automatically measured by computers, and the accuracy varies greatly. Pay attention to it when choosing. The use method of airbag sphygmomanometer is as follows:

1. Sit a few more. Sit still for 15 minutes before taking blood pressure, remove the extra sleeves and leave a thin coat at most.

2. Tie the cuff to the upper arm, with the lower edge 2-3 cm away from the elbow socket, not too tight or too loose. Place the chest of the stethoscope where the brachial artery beats at the elbow.

3. Inflate the cuff, and after the brachial artery pulsation disappears, raise the mercury column by 2.6-4.0 kPa (20-30 mm Hg). At this point, the stethoscope can't hear any sound.

4. Loosen the air ball valve and slowly deflate outward, so that the pressure in the air sleeve is reduced and the mercury column is slowly lowered. When the pressure in the cuff is equal to or slightly lower than the systolic pressure, the pulse sound can be heard, and the corresponding sphygmomanometer reading at the first sound is the systolic pressure.

6. Continue to deflate. When the pressure in the cuff is lower than the systolic pressure and higher than the diastolic pressure, the heart can hear the arterial pulse at each contraction. When the pressure in the cuff is equal to or slightly lower than the diastolic pressure, the blood flow becomes smooth again and the vortex disappears. At this time, the sound suddenly weakens and disappears soon. The sphygmomanometer reading corresponding to the last arterial pulse sound before the sound disappears is the diastolic pressure.

7. After the measurement, exhaust the gas, then rotate the sphygmomanometer to the right to make all the mercury return to the mercury tank, and turn off the switch. Tidy up the air jacket and turn off the sphygmomanometer.

Love tip: people with hearing impairment should not use mercury sphygmomanometer, so it is recommended to use electronic sphygmomanometer instead.
