How to deal with the failure of Omar exhaust back pressure regulating valve

1. Check whether the plug is still in the vent plug. If the regulator seems to be stuck in the "on" position, the small red plug may not be taken out of the exhaust plug. This plug can be inserted on the exhaust plug to avoid oil leakage during transportation, but it should be removed before operation. Take it out by hand.

2. If the pressure regulator continuously exhausts air, it may be that the diaphragm blows air, or the pilot plug cannot be properly seated due to moisture or dirty air in the pipeline. First, remove the bonnet and pilot valve housing to access the pilot valve plug. Then remove, clean and dry the guide plug and reinstall it.

3. Check whether the pilot valve seat is loose. If the regulator cannot be opened, the pilot valve seat may be loose. To solve this problem, remove the valve cover and guide plug housing to access the guide plug seat. Use a wrench to ensure that the guide plug seat is fastened.
