Why is Wu Xuan called Xiancheng?

Wuxuan, also known as Xiancheng, is located in the middle of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bordering Guiping City in the east, Guigang City in the south, Laibin City in the west and Liuzhou City in the north. It is an important transportation hub. Wuxuan county has jurisdiction over 10 townships, 142 villagers' committees, 6 neighborhood committees and 2 district-level units. The total population is 420,000, and there are 268,300 Zhuang, Miao and Dong people. The main attractions of Wuxuan are: Baiya Grand Canyon, an autonomous region-level scenic spot with typical Danxia landform and water source forest vegetation, with a total area of 13.66 square kilometers. Known for its steep mountains, beautiful waters, strange rocks and secluded forests, it is a rare summer resort for tourism and leisure. The Eight Immortals Tianchi Lake is an autonomous region-level scenic spot, located among eight peaks at an altitude of 100 m, with an area of 10 mu. It is dry all the year round, the rain doesn't overflow, the water is sweet and drinkable, the water color changes with time, and the green hills on all sides are lofty and beautiful, forming a unique landscape. Dateng Gorge, from Wuxuan Qianjiang to Guiping Bitan, with a total length of more than 90 kilometers, is known as the "Little Three Gorges"; Rhinoceros Rock, with a length of 10 kilometers, is filled with various stalactites and charming scenery. The Confucian Temple, a key cultural relic protection unit at the autonomous region level, was built in the sixth year of Xuande in Ming Dynasty (143 1), covering an area of more than 5,000 square meters. It is one of the largest and well-preserved Confucian temples in Guangxi.
