Then, some background information about Quangang underground oil depot is developed: the reservoir area is adjacent to Xiaocuogang, a national first-class port, with a total area of 157.28 hectares, of which the red line area of underground crude oil cavern is 125.52 hectares. Underground engineering is mainly composed of tunnel tank farm, shaft, water curtain system, construction roadway and connecting roadway. 22 main caverns are arranged in parallel, with a length of 287m-1170m; 2-4 main holes form a tank, and * * * is divided into 9 groups of tanks. The red line area of the above-ground facilities is about 14.86 hectares, and the above-ground part is mainly composed of office buildings, dormitories, substations, nitrogen generating stations, fire stations, sewage treatment facilities, oil and gas recovery facilities and doormen.

There are two construction entrances and exits in the tank farm of underground crude oil tunnel. In order to avoid destroying the mountain vegetation above the tank farm, five large wells were set up in abandoned mines to speed up the construction progress and meet the new storage and transportation technology requirements. Using abandoned mines to transform underground water-sealed caverns in the form of large wells can not only save a lot of land resources and repair damaged ecological links, but also save energy, ecology, economy, green, environmental protection and safety.
