Weizhou Island is located in the middle of Beibu Gulf, bordering Beihai City, Guangxi to the north and Leizhou Peninsula to the east. Weizhou Island is about 24 nautical miles (about 50 kilometers) from Beihai, and it only takes 70 minutes by boat; Nanning is about 230 kilometers from Beihai, including 10 kilometers of Nanning Ring Expressway; 167 kilometers of Lanhai Expressway; and 27 kilometers of Sanbei Expressway; If you take a long-distance bus, it takes 3 hours; if you take a high-speed train, it only takes 1.5 hours.

Weizhou Island is an island formed by volcanic eruptions. You can see unique landscapes such as sea erosion, sea accumulation and lava on the island. On Weizhou Island there are Crocodile Mountain, Dishui Danping, Shiluokou Beach, Shengtang Catholic Church, Colorful Beach, Muya, Shell Beach, Sinopec Crude Oil Terminal, Ocean Park, Museum, and Weizhou Island Lighthouse.

Things to note when traveling to Weizhou Island:

1. It is best to buy round-trip ferry tickets in advance. If there is bad weather, the cruise ships will be suspended, so be sure to pay attention to the weather conditions when going to the island.

2. The only way to get to Xieyang Island is to take a boat from Weizhou Island Pier. Generally, speedboat fishing boats cannot carry more than 10 people. Be careful not to overload and wear life jackets.
