Which city does Zhongxiang City in Hubei belong to?
Zhongxiang City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hubei Province and is managed by Jingmen City.
Zhongxiang City is located in the middle of Hubei Province, in the middle reaches of the Han River, bordering Yicheng and Suizhou to the north, Tianmen City and Shayang County to the south, Jingshan City to the east, and Dongbao District and Duodao District to the west. Zhongxiang is a famous national historical and cultural city in China and one of the important birthplaces of Chu culture. It has a recorded history of more than 2,700 years. It was called "Jiaoying" during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and was the accompanying capital of the Chu State. In the later period, it was the capital of the Chu State.
In 1531 AD, Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty gave the county the name "Zhongxiang" because he was born and prospered here, taking the meaning of "a geomantic treasure land and auspicious place", and promoted the Anlu Mansion to Chengtian Mansion. It was one of the three major prefectures directly under the jurisdiction of the Ming Dynasty. After the founding of New China, the county name was still "Zhongxiang". In May 1992, the State Council approved Zhongxiang's removal from the county and establishment of a city. In December 1996, Zhongxiang City was transferred from Jingzhou to Jingmen City.

1. Mingming Mausoleum: Zhongxiang people are accustomed to call it the Imperial Mausoleum. It is a world cultural heritage and a national 4A-level scenic spot. It is located in the pine forest on the southwest branch of Dahong Mountain. Mountain, about 5 kilometers west of Zhongxiang urban area. The area surrounding the mausoleum is 183.13 hectares, approximately 2,747 acres, occupying the entire Songlin Mountain. It is the largest single imperial mausoleum in the Ming Dynasty in China.
2. Huangxiandong Scenic Area: Located in Kedian Town, Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province, at the southern foot of the Dahong Mountains, it is the core attraction of the national Dahong Mountain Scenic Area, 66 kilometers away from Yingzhong City, Zhongxiang City. Huangxian Cave is a national 4A-level scenic spot. It has four world-class landscapes including the edge stone pool hall, the calcium diaphragm edge dam, the three-arch landscape, and the dissolved stone buds of General Shi.
3. Mochou Lake: Also known as Canglang Lake, commonly known as North Lake, it is located in the north corner of Yingzhong City, Zhongxiang City. It was named after Mochou, the singer of the Chu Palace in the Warring States Period. Mochou Lake covers an area of 2 square kilometers and is rich in water chestnuts, fresh fish, lotus roots, etc.
4. Shipai Ancient Town: Located in the southwest border of Zhongxiang City, adjacent to the Han River, it has a history of more than 2,000 years. The ancient streets in the town are crisscrossed, basically maintaining the original style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. These monuments highlight the long history and culture of Shipai Ancient Town, and express Shipai's unique Han Dynasty culture, Ming and Qing traditional culture and rich and colorful dramatic art characteristics.
