Ten scenic spots in Luoyang

Longmen Grottoes is located in Longmen Pass in the southern suburb of Luoyang, 5 kilometers away from the urban area. They were excavated by Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty when he moved to Luoyang. After more than 400 years in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, the Western Wei Dynasty, the Northern Qi Dynasty, the Sui Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties and the Song Dynasty, they were built on a large scale in the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty 140 years, forming a north-south length of 65,438 years.

2. Baima Temple

The White Horse Temple in Luoyang is the first ancient temple in China and the world-famous Galand. It is the first official temple after Buddhism was introduced into China, and it has been praised as the "source of Buddhism" and "ancestral hall" by Chinese and foreign Buddhist circles. Baima Temple was built in the 11th year of Yongping in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The existing sites and historical sites were left over from the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.

3. Guanlin Temple

Guanlin Temple, located in Guanlin Town, seven kilometers south of Luoyang, Henan Province, is adjacent to the ancient city of Sui and Tang Dynasties in the north, Longmen Grottoes in the south, indigo naturalis in the west and Liu Qing in the east. It is the burial place of the warrior Guan Yu and the only ancient classic building in China. Founded in the Han Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the 20th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, covering an area of 180 mu.

4. Laojunshan

Laojun Mountain is located in the northeast of the main peak of Shennongjia. It is named after the legend that the old gentleman once made an alchemy here in ancient times. In winter, the top of the mountain is covered with snow and ice, and the mountainside is often shrouded in clouds, just like the old man with silver beard and white hair sitting in the clouds.
