What was Hainan called in ancient times?

Question 1: What was the name of Hainan in ancient times? Hainan Province, called Qiongzhou Zhu Ya, Yuer and Qiongtai for short. Yazhou, Qiongya, overseas, Antarctic, Tianya, Cape, Nantian and Coconut Island.

Hainan Island was known as "the southern service famine reward" in the Tang and Yu Dynasties, and "outside the county" in the Qin Dynasty. This shows that Hainan Island was a remote border of the motherland at that time. Hainan Island is one of the four exile places, mainly in Asia, located at the southernmost tip of China.

In the thirty-third year of Qin Shihuang (2 14 BC), the vast area of Lingnan was unified, and Guilin County, Nanhai County and Xiang County were established in the south, and hundreds of thousands of people from the Central Plains moved here. At that time, Hainan Island was a city outside Xiang Jun.

In the first year of Yuanfeng (1 10), Zhu Ya County and Yuer County were established in Hainan Island. Under the jurisdiction of the jiaozhou city Secretariat. These are the first two administrative place names that Hainan Island was incorporated into the territory of the motherland, marking the beginning of the direct rule of Hainan Island by the central government.

In the third year of Yuan Dynasty (the first 46 years), Yuan Di stopped Zhuya County in the spring, abandoned Zhuya County and set up various counties, belonging to Hepu County, Jiaozhou.

In the 19th year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (43), Fu Bo general Ma Yuan settled his toes, traveled to and from the South China Sea, settled in Zhu Ya and returned to Zhuya County, which belonged to Hepu County and Zhuze County.

Ten years after Emperor Yongping of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ding Mao (67) returned to Boer County. Zhu Ya and Boer counties belong to Hepu County and belong to Jiaozhou. Strengthened the connection between the Eastern Han Dynasty and the ancestors of the Li nationality.

In the first year of Jin Taikang (280), Zhu Ya County was reserved and merged into Hepu County. Ibis becomes tortoise shell. Hepu County leaders Hepu, Nanping, Dangchang, Xuwen, Guijia and Zhuguan counties. It belongs to JIAOZHOU. Soon, Zhuguan County was abandoned.

In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, in the eighth year of Yuanjia in Song Wendi (43 1), Zhuya County was re-established and ruled Xuwen, but it was soon abolished. Zhu Guan and Zhu Lu belong to Yuezhou.

When Yang Di was in Sui Dynasty, there were two counties in Hainan Island (Zhu Ya County and Linzhen County), and Zhu Ya County was located in Yilong County. Since then, Zhu Ya County has divided Yande County and Ningyuan County into Linzhen County. Zhu Ya and Linzhen counties belong to the secretariat of Li Si, Yangzhou.

In the Tang Dynasty, the county was changed to a state, which governed five states and 22 counties, including Yazhou, Danzhou, Zhou Zhen, Wan 'an and Qiongzhou, and was under the jurisdiction of Lingnan Road. Hainan's abbreviation "Qiong" comes from Qiongzhou in the Tang Dynasty and belongs to Lingnan Road. Later it belonged to Nanhan.

Question 2: Hainan Province was formerly known as Hainan Administrative Office of Guangdong Province.

1950 in may, Hainan island was liberated, Hainan military and political Committee was established, and military control was implemented. In April of the following year, the People's Hainan Administrative Office of Guangdong Province was established, and in March of 1955,/kloc-0 was renamed as Hainan Administrative Office of Guangdong Province.

1966, Hainan administrative office ceased to exercise its functions and powers. 1in April, 968, the Revolutionary Committee of Hainan was established with unified leadership; 1976 10 month, renamed as the Revolutionary Committee of Hainan Administrative Region; 1June, 979, Guangzhou, Haikou, Shantou, Zhanjiang, Maoming, Foshan, Jiangmen, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Foshan were directly under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province.

1980 65438+ 10 month, renamed Hainan administrative office. 1984 10 revoked the Hainan administrative office, and the Hainan administrative people * * * was officially proclaimed.

198 1 year, Hainan administrative region was under the jurisdiction of Hainan Li and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, directly administering Qiongshan, Wenchang, Lingao, Chengmai, Qionghai, Tunchang, Danxian, Wanning and Ding 'an counties, with offices in Xisha, Nansha and zhongsha islands.

1987 Revocation of Hainan Administrative Region and Hainan Li and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.

1April 1988, Hainan Province and Hainan Special Economic Zone were established [4].

Question 3: What was Hainan Island called in ancient times? There are three ancient names of Hainan Island in history: Zhu Ya, Fish and Qiongtai. According to documents, Zhu Ya originated in the county town on the edge of the seaside cliff, producing pearls, hence the name Zhu Ya; Bohr originated from the embroidery custom of ancient tribes in Hainan Island (carving patterns on the face, painting colors and hanging decorative earrings on the ears), hence the name; Qiongtai originated from Baishi and Qiongshan in China, and the earth and stone are all white and moist. During the reign of Xining in Song Shenzong, Qiongzhou set up Qiongzhou to appease the capital station, so it was called Qiongtai. According to 200 Neolithic sites and historical documents discovered by archaeological work, it is inferred that Hainan Island existed at least 6000 years ago and there were human activities. According to the Records of Qiongzhou, Hainan in Qin Dynasty belonged to its remote areas and had no organizational system. In the first year of the Western Han Dynasty (BC 1 10), two counties, Bohai and Zhu Ya, were established. In the third year of Yuan Dynasty in Yuan Di (46 BC), there was only one county called Zhulu County. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Liang Wudi established a state, which was called "Cliff State". There were two counties of Linzhen and Zhu Ya in Sui Dynasty, and five counties of Yazhou, Qiongzhou, Zhou Zhen, Danzhou and Wanzhou in Tang Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty, there were three armies in one state, five counties in Qiongzhou, three counties in Nanning, two counties in Wan 'an and three towns in Jiyang. The organizational system of Hainan in Yuan Dynasty was mostly similar to that of Song Dynasty, and there was no big change. In Ming Dynasty, Hainan established Qiongzhou Prefecture, which was in charge of Nai, Wan and Ya counties 10. The organizational system of Hainan in Qing Dynasty still followed that of Ming Dynasty. In the early years of the Republic of China, Hainan abandoned the road and set up a civil affairs department, which was later changed to an administrative Duzhai District and a special administrative region. After liberation, Hainan was changed into an administrative region with an administrative office, and a province was established in 1988, which was called Hainan Province. The evolution of Hainan's organizational system, from the establishment of Qiongya county in the early Han Dynasty to the establishment of 1988 province, lasted for 2098. With the change of dynasties, place names often change, so Hainan place names are called "Yazhou", "Qiongzhou" and "Qiongya". In the inscriptions on poems, there are names such as Overseas, Antarctic, Tianya, Cape and Nantian. The name "Hainan" only appeared frequently in the Song Dynasty and was widely used after the Republic of China. As a local administrative region of Hainan, its official title is 195 1 year after liberation, and it is called "Hainan Administrative Office". 1988 was upgraded to a province, referred to as "Hainan Province" or "Qiong".

Question 4: The name of Hainan in China's ancient dynasty, Hainan, is called "Qiong" for short. Hainan Island is a mainland island with a long history. Hainan Island was separated from Leizhou Peninsula at least 500,000 years ago when the Qiongzhou Strait fault sank. Since the Song Dynasty, people have called it Hainan Island, because it is located in the southern sky and hangs alone in the sea. Bohr is the oldest name in Hainan Island. Hainan has many beautiful names in history. According to Zheng Deqiong's Records of Taiwan, in the Han Dynasty, Hainan was called Pearl Cliff because "the pearls produced in the county are on the edge of the cliff in the middle of the sea". In the Tang Dynasty, it was called Qiongshan Mountain because the earth and stones were as white as jade. Since then, Hainan's name has forged an indissoluble bond with the word "Qiong", which has been called Qiongzhou, Qiongguan, Wan Qiong, Qiongtai, Qiongya, Qiongyao and Qiongdao successively.

The development of history

1. Tang Yu arrived in the Southern and Northern Dynasties.

In Tang Yu's time, Hainan Island was the place where diplomatic relations were established with the south. In Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, it was the southern origin of Yangyue.

In the thirty-third year of Qin Shihuang (2 14 BC), the vast area of Lingnan was unified, and Guilin County, Nanhai County and Xiang County were set up in the south. Qin Shihuang moved hundreds of thousands of people from the Central Plains to their places. At that time, Hainan Island was outside Xiang Jun. At the turn of Qin and Han Dynasties, the Central Plains was in war, and Qin Longchuan made Zhao Tuo the king of South Vietnam. The pow and influence of that kingdom of south Vietnam should reach Hainan island.

In the sixth year of Ding Yuan in the Western Han Dynasty (1 1 1), Fu Bo general Lü bode and shipbuilding general yangfu led troops to quell the rebellion in South Vietnam. In the first year of Yuanfeng (1 10 BC), Zhu Ya County and Yuer County were established in Hainan Island.

In the third year of Yuan Di in the early Yuan Dynasty (46 BC), Zhuya County stopped in the spring, abandoned Zhuya County and set up various counties, belonging to Hepu County of Jiaozhou.

During the Western Han Dynasty, Hainan Island was directly under the jurisdiction of the central dynasty, from the first year of Han Yuanfeng to the third year of Han Yuandi.

In Guimao, the 19th year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 43), Fu Bo general Ma Yuan settled his toes, traveled to and from the South China Sea, settled in Zhu Ya, and returned to Zhuya County, which belonged to Hepu County and Zhuze County.

In the 10th year of Emperor Yongping of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 67), Ding Mao returned to Danling County. Both Zhu Ya and Danling counties belong to Hepu County and are under the supervision of Jiaozhou. Strengthened the connection between the Eastern Han Dynasty and the ancestors of the Li nationality.

During the Three Kingdoms period, during Wu Chiwu's reign (238 ~ 25 1), Zhu Ya County (now Xuwen, Guangdong Province) was established in Leizhou Peninsula, and Xuwen, Zhulu and Zhuguan counties were under the jurisdiction of Gaozhou, and "remote leadership" was implemented for Hainan Island.

In the eighth year of Yuan Jia (43 1), Emperor Wen of the Southern Song Dynasty rebuilt Zhuya County and ruled Xuwen, but it was soon abolished. Zhu Guan and Zhu Lu belong to Yuezhou.

In Datong, Liang Wudi (535 ~ 546), Yazhou was established in the land of Feier County and unified in Guangzhou. At that time, more than 1000 monks joined the slang leader, Mrs. Xian, who lived in North Korea, and established Yazhou. There are words "There are more than a thousand caves in Hainan" in History of the North and History of the Sui Dynasty, which is the earliest record of the word "Hainan". The establishment of Asia is of great significance. After Emperor Hanyuan withdrew from Zhuya County, all the counties in the past dynasties were in the mainland, which was just a "remote collar" for Hainan. When he arrived in the Southern Dynasties, Yazhou was established in Hainan, which effectively ruled the whole territory of Hainan Island.

From the Western Han Dynasty to the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it probably went through the process of initial placement, abandonment, distant collar and reconstruction. Although the establishment of a county in Hainan in the Western Han Dynasty was achieved by brutal means, it is undoubtedly a historical progress in history. However, due to the mistakes of feudal ruling policies and the chaos in the Central Plains, Hainan has been in a state of autonomy for a long time. Especially in Nanliang period, it was of great significance for the central dynasty to effectively rule Hainan after the reconstruction of Yazhou on the basis that more than a thousand concubines, the leader of the Li people, belonged to Fei 'er County.

2. Ming and Qing Dynasties

In March of the first year of Hongwu in Ming Taizu (1368), the Ming army went south, and in June, the commander of Haibei Road and Hainan surrendered in the Yuan Dynasty. In the same year 10, Hainan Island changed the Gansu-Ningxia appeasement department to Qiongzhou government, changed Jiyang army to Yazhou, Nanning army to Danzhou, Wan 'an army to Wanzhou, and the three governments were placed under Qiongzhou government, still belonging to Guangxi. Soon, Nanjianzhou was changed to Ding 'an County. In June of the second year of Hongwu, Hainan Prefecture was transferred to Guangdong Province. Since then, Hainan Island has been under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province.

Hongwu nine years, Hainan Island belongs to Hainan Road, Guangdong Province. At that time, the situation in the county was:

Qiongzhou leaders Qiongshan, Chengmai, Lingao, Ding 'an, Wenchang, Yuanbaohui and Huitong seven counties; Lingyilun and Changhua counties in Danzhou; Wanzhou leads Wanning and Lingshui counties; Yazhou leads Ningyuan and Thanksgiving counties. Hainan island 1 region 3 states 13 counties.
