Acacia Mountain
Acacia Mountain is in the northeastern part of Yueyang County, bordering Tongcheng, Hubei Province. It stretches for more than 10 kilometers. There is an Acacia Mountain and at the bottom of the mountain there is an Acacia Bay World Rose Park. . The average altitude is more than 700m. Its main peak, Xiangsi Peak, is 957.2 meters above sea level and has an average annual temperature of 15°C. The tourist area consists of five scenic spots including the World Love Culture Ecological Tourism Valley, Acacia Rock, Acacia Peak, Tianhu Temple and Acacia Village.
Dayun Mountain
Dayun Mountain spans Yueyang and Linxiang cities and counties, and belongs to the northwest branch of Mufu Mountain. It has been a scenic spot in the south of the Yangtze River since ancient times. It is a Taoist cave with seventy-two peaks. , the main peak is located in Yunshan Township, Yueyang County, with an altitude of 911.1 meters. It integrates forest leisure, sightseeing, summer vacation, and religious pilgrimage. It was upgraded to a national forest park in 1996 and rated as an "AAA-level scenic spot" in 2009. The park covers an area of 1180.6 hectares, of which the core tourist area is 340 hectares. There are two major scenic spots in the park: the Patriarch's Hall and the Zhenjun Hall, and 48 scenic spots. There are 1,230 species of various plants in 16 families, 35 genera, etc. on the mountain. There are more than 20 kinds of green foods such as bracken, smoked bamboo shoots, and moldy bean dregs, and 12 species of ancient rare trees. There were 28 temples built in the past, and 6 are now reopened. There are 8 county-level cultural relics protection units and 1 provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. Dayun Mountain is listed as one of the ten scenic spots in Yueyang (Yunshan Exploration).
Zhang Guying Ancient Village
One of the first batch of famous historical and cultural villages in China is located at the foot of Bijia Mountain in Feiweidong Township, Yueyang, backed by crescent mountains and facing the Weixi River. The total construction area is 50,000 square meters, with 237 halls, 1 auditorium, 10 classrooms, and 1,484 private houses. There are 60 unique lanes extending in all directions, with a total length of 1,459 meters, connecting the entire housing estate like a large maze. Walking around Zhang Guying Village, the sun never shines on sunny days and your shoes don’t get wet when rainy. It is said that Zhang Guying, the ancestor of Zhang Guying villagers, moved to this time and was particularly interested in this "feng shui treasure land". After more than 600 years of reproduction, the Zhang family now has more than 2,000 people, including those who have moved to other places, totaling more than 7,000 people. The three existing residential groups were built by the four brothers Zhang Xudong, the 16th generation descendants of Zhang Guying, in the 18th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1753). Here, the uniform blue-brick and gray-tiled houses, with carved beams and paintings, spacious halls, symmetrical patios, and four-way alleyways provide evidence for the study of ancient Chinese architecture and folk customs.
Tieshan Reservoir
It is located in the upper reaches of Xinqiang River in Yueyang County, also known as Xiangsi Lake. The dam is named after Tieshan. The reservoir has a total shoreline of 328 kilometers, a water surface of 62,400 acres, and a storage capacity of 680 million cubic meters. It is a green aquatic product production base in Hunan, China. The reservoir attractions are mainly artificial lakes, accompanied by numerous islands, peaks and historical sites. There are 147 islands of different sizes and shapes in the entire lake, which is known as Hunan's "Thousand Island Lake". Liu Bei Cave
Liu Bei Cave is located in Raocun Township, Yueyang County. It is connected to the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and only 58 kilometers away from Yueyang City. It is an ancient post road connecting Pingjiang to Yuezhou. Jiuzhaigou Valley in Hunan is famous for its reputation. According to legend, when Liu Bei was returning from the four counties of Changsha, Guiyang, Lingling and Wuling in the south of Jingzhou, he passed by Rao Castle. His soldiers and horses were exhausted, so he rested here. The scenic area covers an area of 400 hectares and is naturally integrated with the Lotus Lake Scenic Area. The main attractions include Liu Bei Stone Carvings, Honolulu, Doushitan, General Bridge, Simao Spring, Waterfall Pavilion, Straw Shoe Prints, etc.
