Shuikoushan Shuikoushan Town

Shuikoushan Town is located at the southwest end of Lingling District, Yongzhou City, at the west foot of Du Pangling, 53 kilometers away from Lingling City. Shuikoushan State-owned Forest Farm is adjacent to Shuangpai in the east, Daqingping Township is adjacent to quanzhou county in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south, Shiyantou Town and Zhushan Town in the west, and Jizipu Township in the northeast, which is the junction of two provinces, autonomous regions and three counties. Total area 15 1 km2, total population1132 households with 43,360 people.

The town government is stationed in Shuikoushan neighborhood committee, which has jurisdiction over Zhongjingshan, Chu Yang, Shan Yan, Leyuan Mountain, Yangjiaojing, Yang Meiling, Maluqiao, Paitoubian, Tang Jie, Changtang, Qinglongtang, Daxindian, Laocunli, Shangzhe Garden, Grey Leaf Mountain, Zhamu, Jiangjia Village, Liangyali, Yuejia, Xinqiao, Pingfu Bridge and Hejia. There are 49 villages such as Gaotian, Bantian, Santanfeng, Fan Shi, Arch, Niutangwei, Xia Jing, Datang and Jiangjiatang, Shuikoushan 1 neighborhood committee and 384 villagers' groups.

The water at the foot of Chaijun Mountain in Nanling Mountains meets Meixi River in the narrow area of Duimen Mountain, forming the trend of locking the mouth, hence the name "Shuikou Mountain". Shuikou Mountain has been in use since the Ming Dynasty. In the middle of Qing Dynasty, a street was built on the east coast as a market, and a new street was built in Hexi after liberation, which became the largest rural market in the southwest of Lingling County at that time. Shuikoushan is the 10th district at the beginning of liberation, which governs Yangjiaojing, Shuikoushan, Mazijiang and Central Lane. 1956, when the district is removed and merged into the township, Shuikoushan Township is the center; 1958 People's Commune belongs to Friendship Commune; Shuikoushan Commune was founded in 196 1. 1984 changed to Shuikoushan Township. 1986, Shuikoushan was approved by the provincial government to withdraw from the township and build a town. 1995, the area was withdrawn and merged into the township, and the four towns of Changtang, Maoxiqiao, Shuikoushan and Mazijiang were merged into Shuikoushan Town.
