Introduction to Haikou Crater Geopark
Haikou Volcanic Geopark is an AAAA-level scenic spot in China and a world geopark, bringing together the volcanic culture and tropical ecology of thousands of years ago. The volcanic landforms are very rich, forming a geopark with tropical urban culture and volcanic ecological connotations.
There are more than 40 Quaternary volcanoes in the park, with various types, rich lava landscapes and strange lava tunnels. The volcanoes that existed thousands of years ago, the volcanic rock culture that lasted thousands of years, and the tropical ecological vegetation community are all unique. In recent years, ancient dwellings, ancestral temples, rakes, bed cabinets, etc. have been added to the scenic area, reflecting the production and living utensils of the volcanic area since ancient times, including stone tools, wood products, volcanic stone art, etc. You can learn about the ancient volcanic culture and experience the life of residents in volcanic areas during the tour. The commanding heights of Hainan are also in the park, and the air is fresh. When the weather is good, you can see the Qiongzhou Strait.

Geological relics of the crater
The main geological relics are composed of 40 volcanoes A group of Quaternary volcanoes. The types of volcanoes are complete and diverse, covering almost all types of volcanoes erupting from basaltic volcanoes. There are more than 30 lava tunnels here, the longest one is more than 2,000 meters long. Their internal forms and landscapes are rich and wonderful, rarely seen at home and abroad. There are more than 1,200 species of ecological community plants represented by tropical rainforests in the park, including volcanic cones, craters, and basalt platforms. The orchard is integrated with the volcanic landscape and is an outstanding representative of the volcanic ecology of a tropical city. In the park, there are ancient villages, stone houses, stone towers and various production and living utensils built by people using basalt for thousands of years. They record the volcanic cultural context of man and stone and can be called a classic of Chinese volcanic culture. The main scenic spots include Ma'an Ridge, Shuangchi Ridge, Xianren Cave, Luojing Plate, etc.
Shuangchi Ridge
is a window attraction in the park. There are four volcanoes in the scenic area, namely Lufeng Mountain in the southern cone, Baozi Mountain in the northern cone and two small parasitic volcanoes known as "volcano babies". The ridges are two parallel twin Marl volcanoes, while the crater walls are tuff rings.
Luojingpan
Luojingma Pan Bait Volcano, with an inner diameter of 1,000 meters, has a perfect circular low-flat crater, and its radial and circular stepped pastoral scenery is very pleasant.
The cave is divided into upper and lower sections, with a hole in the lower section. There is a world outside the sky, which is confusing. Various lava milks hang on the rock wall, seemingly falling but not falling, which is breathtaking. This cave is full of strange rocks and water, and the clear sound of water drops can be heard at any time. The water droplets create different tones on the rocks of different shapes and qualities, creating a very beautiful rhythm.
Xianren Cave
The upper section of Xianren Cave was at most divided into dozens of lava tunnels due to cave collapse. Some of these caves resemble interconnected spider webs; some resemble open-air underground restaurants; others resemble bizarre castles and palaces. Sunlight shines on the tunnel through the skylight formed by the collapse of the tunnel, making the scenery in the dark tunnel clear and magnificent.
Ma'anling Volcano
It consists of four volcanoes, namely the Fengluling crater in the southern cone, the Baoziling crater in the northern cone and two parasitic small volcanoes on the sides. They resemble a pair of eyes, called eye ridges, and are known as volcano babies. In 1996, China's main venue - World Tourism Day was held here and was highly praised by experts and tourism officials from more than 20 countries.
