Why is the J-20 called the Eight Wings Angel?
For the aerodynamic shape of the J-20, different dihedral angles and dihedral angles are adopted in the wing design, so as to maximize the maneuverability while ensuring sufficient stealth performance as much as possible, and there is no obstacle between the control surfaces of the wing. Seen from the front, they are:
The uppermost pair of vertical tail fins inclined outward.
There are a pair of duck wings with dihedral angles in the middle of the fuselage.
A pair of main wings with the same height as the canard but with a certain dihedral angle.
A pair of caudal fins with a certain camber at the bottom near the tail.
It looks like the wings of four pairs of angels have spread out. Therefore, the J-20 will be called the Eight Wings Angel (pictured).
