Toona sinensis, Broussonetia papyrifera, Broussonetia papyrifera, Ilex pubescens and Ammopiptanthus mongolicus have strong adaptability, can adapt to slightly acidic, neutral and calcareous soil, and can grow in barren hills or silt beaches, light saline-alkali land and even coastal saline-alkali land.
Chu tree belongs to the sun plant, which is suitable for growing in sunny environment, has certain shade tolerance and can survive for a short time in weak light environment. Moreover, Chu tree has strong adaptability to soil, and can be planted in slightly acidic, calcareous and neutral soil.
Planting Chu trees can be done by sowing. Mature fruits can be harvested in 10 every year, then rinsed, seeds taken out, dried and stored for later use. The seeds of Chu tree can be buried in fine sand to accelerate germination in the following spring, and then planted in loose soil after the seedlings grow.
