Who was the first emperor of the Qing Dynasty?
according to historical records, in 1616 (the forty-fourth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, the first year of the mandate of the late Jin Dynasty), the Qing Taizu Nuerhachi was called Khan after the founding of the country, and his title was Daikin, which was called "the late Jin Dynasty" in history. In 1636 (the ninth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty, the first year of Chongde in Qing Dynasty), Emperor Taizong of Qing Dynasty proclaimed himself emperor and changed his country name to "Qing Dynasty". In 1644 (the seventeenth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty and the first year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty), Li Zicheng's Dashun army captured Beijing and the Ming Dynasty perished. Wu Sangui, the Ming general stationed in Shanhaiguan, was sent down to the Qing Dynasty, and the Qing Regent Dourgen commanded the Qing army to enter Shanhaiguan and defeated the Dashun peasant army. In the same year, Emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty moved the capital to Beijing, and since then, the Qing Dynasty has replaced the Ming Dynasty as the ruler of the whole country. In the 2 years after entering the customs, the Qing Dynasty successively destroyed the regimes of Dashun, Daxi and Nanming, and basically unified the whole country. According to this record, the founder of the Qing Dynasty was Nurhachi, but Nurhachi's country name was "Daikin", and he was not called the emperor himself, but Khan, so he could not be regarded as the first emperor of the Qing Dynasty. Nuerhachi's son, Huang Taiji, changed his title to Qing after inheriting the Great Khan, and proclaimed himself emperor, who should be the first emperor of the Qing Dynasty. However, Huang taiji did not enter the customs, but occupied the northeast and Mongolia, and was not the emperor of the whole country. In 1644, the Qing army entered Shanhaiguan, defeated Li Zicheng, and moved its capital to Beijing. In this sense, the emperor shunzhi was the first emperor of the Qing Dynasty. By the way, there were 12 emperors in the Qing Dynasty, but history used to say "Thirteen Dynasties in the Qing Dynasty". Why? The reason is that the second emperor, Huang Taiji, still called his title "Daikin" when he first ascended the throne, and his position was also called Khan, but he was not called emperor. Historically, it is customary to refer to the "Daikin" period ruled by Nurhachi as the first dynasty of the Qing Dynasty. The 1-year period when Huang taiji just acceded to the throne and still called "Daikin" used the Tiancong title was called the second dynasty of Qing Dynasty. After changing the title of Huang Taiji to "Qing", it took eight years to use the title of Chongde, which was called the third dynasty of Qing Palace. In this way, although there were twelve emperors in the Qing Dynasty, there were thirteen dynasties.
