How to remove the blower of Volvo s80
1. 190 disassembly and installation of heater motor
(1) Remove the air inlet cover above the air pressure chamber.
(2) Remove the vacuum hose on the water tank valve.
(3) Remove the two screws indicated by arrows on the blower motor cover.
(4) Lift the rubber sealing strip away from the internal firewall, and then remove the two fixing screws.
(5) Move the firewall upward and forward, and then remove the blower motor cover.
(6) Remove the wire connector, and then remove the motor wire connector.
(7) Remove the fixing bolt of the blower motor, and then take out the motor from the housing.
(8) Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
2.240D, 230, 280, 280C and 300D heater motor disassembly and installation.
(1) Remove the heater box.
(2) Remove the three fixing screws.
(3) Pull out the blower gently, then disconnect the wire plug and remove the blower.
(4) Install in the reverse order of disassembly. In order to prevent air leakage, three new screws and new washers should be used during installation.
3.280E, 280CE, 300CD and 300TD heater motor disassembly and installation.
(1) Remove the cover from the lower right side of the instrument panel.
(2) Remove the wire plug from the blower motor.
(3) Remove the screws of the contact plate, lift the contact plate, and then disconnect the wires connected with the series resistor.
(4) Remove the flange fixing bolt of the blower motor, and then lift it away from the blower motor.
(5) Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
4.280S, 280SE, 300SD, 450SE, 450SEL and 6.9 blower motor disassembly and installation.
(1) Disconnect the series resistor plug on the firewall.
(2) Remove the fixing bolt, and then remove the series resistor.
(3) Remove the air intake grille, and then remove the glove box.
(4) Remove the cover from the lower right side of the instrument panel.
(5) Remove the hose between the central air pipeline and the right annular nozzle.
(6) Remove the clamp, and then remove the control line on the rocker arm.
(7) Remove two nuts, and then remove the blower motor.
(8) Lead the connecting wire into the water tank through the air pipeline on the firewall.
(9) Insert the blower motor into the housing, screw on the fixing nut, and then push the motor to the left.
(10) Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
5.380SL, 380SLC, 450SL and 450SLC blower motor removal and installation.
(1) Remove the eight fixing screws of the outer cover, and then remove the motor cover.
(2) Unplug the wire plug from the series resistor on the firewall.
(3) Remove the fixing bolt, and then remove the series resistor.
(4) Unscrew the four fixing nuts of the blower motor, and then take out the motor.
(5) Install in the reverse order of disassembly. It should be noted that the rubber sealing strip cannot be damaged, otherwise it must be replaced.
6.300SD, 380SE, 380SEL, 380SEC, 500SEL and 500SEC blower motor disassembly and installation.
(1) Remove the cover on the lower right side of the instrument panel.
(2) Remove the cover plate from the blower motor, and then remove the two-pin plug.
(3) Remove the fixing bolt of the blower motor flange, and then remove the motor.
(4) Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
7. Disassembly and installation of190d and 190E blower motors.
(1) Open the engine cover by 90, and then remove the wiper arm.
(2) Remove the fixing clip of the firewall air inlet cover.
(3) Remove the rubber sealing strip from the cover, and then remove the fixing screw; Slide the inlet cover out of the lower windshield adjusting strip and remove it.
(4) Disconnect the vacuum hose from the heater tank.
(5) Remove the fixing screw of the heater water tank cover.
(6) Pull out the rubber sealing strip from the forced ventilation engine side of the defroster, then remove the fixing screw and pull out the blower motor cover.
(7) Untie the connecting belt connecting the wires, and then remove the plug.
(8) Remove the mounting bolts, and then remove the blower motor.
(9) Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
