Seek some myths and legends in Tongling,
1. Tianjing Lake

Who knows that the ship was discovered by the mountain god just after it arrived at Tianjing Lake. The mountain god knows that his mana is not as good as that of the god, so he can't fight recklessly. Let's see if we can scare him away.

2. Tianmu Lake
It is said that Mu Lian, one of the top ten disciples of Sakyamuni, saw his father enjoying happiness in heaven after attaining the Tao, but failed to find his mother. Therefore, Mu Lian learned from the Buddha that his mother was duplicitous and disrespectful before her death, and she fell into eighteen layers of hell to be starved after her death.
Mu Lian was in great pain, begging for food to be sent to hell to feed his mother, but as soon as she saw the food, other hungry ghosts on the side robbed her of it. So many times, Mulian's mother still didn't get the grain of rice, so Mulian had to ask the Buddha for help again.
Buddha told Mulian: If you want to eat, you must find a plant that can not only dye rice black, but also be nontoxic and harmless. Mu Lian used his magical skills to search everywhere. For this reason, I traveled all over Qian Shan, and after countless hardships, I finally found the "Green Vaccinium bracteatum" in the south of the Yangtze River.
Black rice was made by mashing the young leaves of this tree and cooking the juice with rice, and Mrs. Qingti finally got out of the hell because of her son's help.
3. Baiji Dolphin
It is said that the Tang Priest came back from the Western Heaven and encountered the last difficulty. All the scriptures were wet. He went to a village near the Yellow River to bask in the scriptures. This scripture is genuine. When Tang Priest picked up the dried scripture and read it, a white light shone from the sky. The door of heaven opened and a ladder was put down. People in the village saw a rare opportunity and went up to heaven one after another along the ladder, including a person named Tian Sansao.
Speaking of this third sister-in-law, she is not a human being. Her family has lived under the same roof for five generations, and she is always clamoring for separation. The family said that the old tree in front of the door would not be separated until it died. She secretly nailed red-hot nails and poured boiling water on the tree. After several tortures, the old tree died and was blown into several pieces, one for each family.
On the other hand, she went to heaven with the villagers, and suddenly remembered that the pickle jar at home was not covered, and she went back to the village. At this time, heaven thought that everyone had arrived, so it took back the ladder. This time, Tian Sansao was so anxious that she jumped into the Yellow River in despair. The water in the Yellow River was clear before, but as a result, it became muddy after being stirred by her. Three years later, Tian Sansao became a baiji.
4. Jiuhuashan
The God of Wealth in Jiuhuashan evolved from Min Gong, the owner of Jiuhuashan (formerly known as Jishan) in the Tang Dynasty, and Min Gong was also one of the earliest God of Wealth in China. Later generations built the Min Gong Dian near the Min Cemetery at the east of Jiuhua Street and the west of the East Cliff to commemorate it.
According to legend, the Duke Min of Jiuhuashan in the Tang Dynasty worked hard for generations, and his family wealth piled up like a mountain, hence the name "Jishan". Although Min Gong lives in a deep mountain, he makes good friends, is charitable, and makes friends with others all over the world. Min Gong had the character of benefiting others since he was a child, and his father was named "Ranghe".
In the year of Ming Gong Hua Jia, he met Jin Qiaojue, a Silla monk, and went to Jiuhua Jin Qiaojue to see the beauty of this mountain. He asked Min Gong for a place to preach Dharma, and Min Gong happily promised it, so Jin Qiaojue took part in the exhibition, and the ninety-nine peaks of Fiona Fang were all in it, covering Jiuhua all over again.
Who knows that Jin Qiaojue is the embodiment of the Tibetan Bodhisattva, worshipping incense and praying for blessings in the mountains, and the number of pilgrims seeking children and wealth is increasing day by day. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, he was known as "Nine Flowers of incense are the best in the world". Therefore, later generations said: Jin Qiaojue was the incarnation of the Tibetan Bodhisattva, and the villagers affectionately called him "Master Jiuhua"; And called Min Gong "Jiuhua God of Wealth".
5. Tongling
There is a Maoshan Mountain in Tongling and a Wujindu at the foot of the mountain. Ding Jiuwang, a villager, lives at the foot of Bamao Mountain.
One year, Ding Jiuwang's mother died, and a Feng Shui gentleman was invited. The feng shui gentleman searched around and finally found a treasure trove of feng shui. Mr. Feng Shui won't say. Ding Jiuwang estimated that Mr. Feng Shui was taking the opportunity to ask for money, and repeatedly begged: As long as it is really a treasure trove of Feng Shui, I will promise you any conditions!
Mr. Feng Shui said: This matter will affect me all my life, and I'm afraid you can't do it. Ding Jiuwang vowed that he would not. Mr. Feng Shui just said: This dusty land, after your mother is buried, your family will definitely make a fortune, but I will be blind. What should I do for the rest of my life?
Ding Jiuwang said: I am dying for my husband's retirement. Mr. Feng Shui said: I am still far from death, and I still have a long life. Ding Jiuwang said: As long as Ding's family is developed, the golden basin will wash your hands and serve you all your life!
In this way, the two sides made a contract, and Mr. Feng Shui chose a treasure house for Ding Jiuwang's mother.
