In the fourth year of Jiaqing (1799), the situation changed. On the third day of the first month of this year, Emperor Qianlong died in hall of mental cultivation, and Emperor Jiaqing was really in charge. After Jiaqing led the country, the first major event was to take drastic measures to get rid of the small Shenyang, which dominated the world. In order not to cause great political fluctuation, Emperor Jiaqing adopted the strategy of surprise attack. He wanted to execute Xiao Shenyang this year, but later he committed suicide in prison because of the princess's pleading. After the death of Xiao Shenyang, his son Fengšenyende hastily buried Xiao Shenyang in Jizhou.
