Throttle is the most important component in EFI automobile engine system. Its upper part is the air filter, and the lower part is the engine block, which is the throat of the automobile engine. Whether the acceleration of a car is flexible is closely related to the cleanliness of the throttle. During the working process of EFI engine, a small part of exhaust gas produced by combustion in the cylinder will generate carbon deposit at the throttle body through the intake valve and intake pipeline. In addition, after the air passes through the air filter (especially the air filter that has been used for a long time), impurities will remain in the throttle. These dirt accumulate, which will form dirt on the throttle body for a long time, which will lead to the increase of throttle switch resistance and unstable engine idle speed. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the throttle regularly. Method of cleaning the throttle: loosen the fastening screw of the metal clip between the air cleaner and the throttle body with a screwdriver to separate the air cleaner top cover from the throttle body. Keep the throttle closed, spray carburetor cleaner around the door, and then wipe it carefully with a paper towel and a small plastic swab. Break the throttle sector operation panel back and forth by hand to see if the throttle is clean and can be opened and closed freely. Then connect the air cleaner to the throttle body, make sure it is sealed, and tighten the screw of the metal clip. Precautions for cleaning the throttle: Don't unplug the throttle position sensor of the automatic transmission, it is on the throttle body, otherwise the position of the accelerator pedal needs to be reinitialized with the instrument; Be careful not to spray carburetor cleaner on the air cleaner sealing apron of throttle body, which will corrode the apron and affect the sealing performance.
