On the other hand, Songshan Shaolin Temple, founded in the Northern Wei Dynasty, has a long history and is located near the ancient capital Luoyang, where emperors and generals often visit it. Moreover, the event of thirteen monks saving the Tang king in Sui and Tang Dynasties also improved the status and reputation of Songshan Shaolin Temple. Shaolin Temple participated in the Anti-Japanese War many times in the Ming Dynasty, and it has a certain position in the Buddhist history and official history books in the Central Plains.

The promotion of film and television dramas is not as good as that of Songshan Shaolin Temple. Quanzhou Shaolin Temple and Songshan Shaolin Temple also have a long way to go. After Shaolin Temple starring Jet Li came out, Shaoshan Shaolin Temple became famous all over the world, and the whole world knew about Shaoshan Shaolin Temple and Shaolin Wushu. Since then, many films have been about Shaolin monks and Songshan Shaolin Temple, which has improved the popularity of Shaolin Temple in the world, while there are basically no film and television dramas to promote it in Quanzhou Shaolin Temple.

Commercial operation is not as good as Songshan Shaolin Temple. Quanzhou Shaolin Temple adheres to the tradition, and Jing Temple is more like a Buddhist holy place, but this also leads to a great difference in word-of-mouth between Quanzhou Shaolin Temple and Songshan Shaolin Temple.
