Qingyu’s profile
Qing Yu and his "Psychic Zen Painting"
"Psychic Painting" is an alternative to the traditional categories of realistic and freehand figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, and is similar to Western painting The "abstraction" in it has been elevated to "spiritual image", and it also contains "concrete" elements. It is an advanced form of Chinese painting.
"Psychic Zen Painting" is a natural manifestation of Mr. Qingyu's use of Zen concepts in paintings, and is not a deliberate creation. That is, unintentionally, intentionally, carelessly, and with God's will. Thus creating "Psychic Zen Painting".
When painting in "Psychic Zen Painting", there is no thinking, no distracting thoughts, no consciousness, the foundation of chaos, and everything is in a state of pure natural emptiness.
"This is the original creation of Mr. Qingyu. It is the first time I have seen this kind of painting in Xi'an. There are many people with strong painting skills in Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, but there are very few who can be psychic." Lu Anwei, associate professor of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts Put it this way.
“This is the three-dimensional collision of the subconscious wisdom information of the human brain and millions of years of human genetic information with information from the universe.” Xia Jian, researcher of Buddhist culture and spiritual art and lecturer at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts Real ladies think so.
Xi'an Daxingshan Temple is located in Xiaozhai, the southern suburb of Xi'an. It was founded in the second year of Taishi (AD 265), Emperor Wu of the Western Jin Dynasty. It is the ancestral temple of Tantric Buddhism. Wu Daozi, the painting sage of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, integrated the Buddhist "mind" and "nature" studies into his paintings, which became an unprecedented turning point in the history of Chinese painting.
How did Mr. Qingyu become a "psychic"? Mr. Qingyu has a self-introduction, which seems to contain some information in this regard. In a few words, he talks about providence, epiphany, accumulation, luck, etc. He writes like this: "Foolish nature, taciturn, taciturn. But my love for painting comes from my nature. I have been scribbling on rice paper since I was a child, but I have never achieved anything. When I was a child, I suddenly became enlightened and realized the way of spiritual communication. The ink was pouring out from the sky." According to him, one day he scribbled on the rice paper. A sitting meditation monk appeared on the painting, which seemed to be spiritual and could communicate with him, so the "psychic Zen painting" appeared. After reading Mr. Qingyu's "Psychic Zen Paintings", you will definitely believe that there is indeed a spiritual wave that communicates with the infinite universe, conveys information from the distant past and the future, and allows art masters of all ages to communicate and communicate through the tunnel of time and space. Integration and dialogue. This is exactly what it is: Tianjiao's ink painting of Arhat, Kui'an Gu Kesheng's pen.
What is "Psychic Zen Painting"
What is "Psychic Zen Painting"? What is the difference between it and "Zen painting"? Some people say that Zen paintings are paintings in which Zen practitioners use pen and ink to express Zen principles, while spiritual Zen paintings are paintings in which nature and man are unified under the influence of Zen aura. Some people divide it into the categories of Buddhist themes and Zen ideological paintings. In fact, this division is also one-sided. In terms of form, spiritual Zen paintings can be figures, landscapes, flowers and birds, landscapes and patterns, and can be any form such as Chinese paintings and oil paintings. So how should the categories of psychic Zen paintings be divided? For example, Chinese painting can be divided into form-writing and freehand brushwork, Western painting can be divided into realism and abstraction, and spiritual Zen painting should be divided into freehand brushwork and abstraction. Another example is that Chinese painting can be divided into "the intention comes first with the brush" and "the brush comes first with the intention". Spiritual Zen painting should be about "the pen comes first"; whether it is painting first and then making the proposition, or first making the proposition and then painting. Spiritual Zen painting should be the kind where the painting is done first and then the proposition is made, or the title cannot be solved even after the painting is finished. Wu Guanzhong once said, "Some paintings you just admire after looking at them; some paintings you look at and want to see the person who painted them." The latter are psychic paintings. Zen painting and channeling can be traced back to ancient times. So far, there is no clear definition of Zen. When it comes to channeling, it is a matter of opinion. Today, with the Internet, the term "psychic Zen painting" is first recommended by Mr. Qingyu. He emphasizes that the unconscious purpose of "psychic Zen painting" is to obey and communicate with the will of nature. He also pointed out that "psychic Zen paintings" have the personality of the painter's life genes and the non-repeatability of cloud images. Therefore, each person's "channelling" work will naturally have their own individual characteristics. Rather than imitating and learning.
Qing Yu’s six-point definition of “psychic Zen paintings”
1. Paintings of Zen practitioners in a psychic state.
2. The beautiful and profound paintings that people freely express without self-awareness.
3. Paintings that the master of painting thinks or others think are magical.
4. Beautiful and Zen-like paintings accidentally painted by people who have never studied or engaged in painting.
5. Psychic Zen paintings emphasize that human unconsciousness is for obedience and communication with nature and providence.
6. Psychic Zen paintings have the personality of the painter’s life genes and the non-repeatability of cloud images.
The Qingyu I knew
It was in the early summer of 2003 when the horror of SARS spread across China. The double blow of illness and unemployment made me lose my courage and faith in life. A strange thought came over me and I walked onto the street. The streets are not as busy as in the past, and pedestrians wear masks and keep their distance. I didn't wear a mask and breathed in the air, thinking: The virus is coming to infect me! I want to go to another paradise!
Unknowingly, I came to the "Daxingshan Temple" located near Xiaozhai, Xi'an. This temple in the bustling city used to be very lively with incense and crowds, but today it is like an ancient temple in the mountains, especially quiet and solemn. There is a commercial street in the temple. The doors of the shops are all open, but there is no one on the street. There are only a group of sparrows looking for food on the ground. It is really a deserted place. I looked up and saw a sign that said "Xingshan Temple Gallery". Then I looked at the house number: "No. 44, Wenbao Street, Daxingshan Temple," and walked in. I never come to these places on weekdays, because life is so tiring that I have no leisure time.
Today I feel like a very idle person.
There was a man sitting there reading a book in the room, and he didn’t greet me. This made me feel very comfortable, and I just looked at the paintings hanging on the wall alone... "How much does this painting cost?" I didn't know where the impulse came from, I pointed at a painting and asked. In fact, I only had ten yuan in my pocket. Maybe I was just asking casually, but I was thinking in my heart: "If you only want ten yuan, I will definitely buy it!" I saw him raised his head and looked at me, and then said I smiled in my heart and said: "Nine yuan." I was stunned for a moment, and immediately took out the only banknote I had and threw it to him, and said generously: "No need to look for it!" I took off the painting and was about to go out, but he still He caught up and gave me a dollar.
After I walked out of the gallery door, my mood was completely different from when I came in. The sunshine outside was so bright and bright, and I felt eager to go home. After I left the temple, walked onto the street, and got on the bus home, when I put the one yuan in my hand into the coin box, a strange feeling flashed through my heart: "Hey! How did he know that I was coming back?" How much does it cost to take a car home?" When I got home, I knew from the signature of the painting that his name was "Qingyu".
From that day on, I always fell in love with hanging out in galleries and antique markets. I felt like a collector and art connoisseur. I was poor but leisurely, and my health gradually improved.
One day, there was thunder, lightning, wind and rain. According to the meteorological observatory, it was the largest rainstorm in Xi'an in 50 years. After the rain and the weather cleared, I came to Xingshan Temple again. When I walked into No. 44 Wenbao Street inside the temple again, a burst of burning incense came to my nose. I took a closer look and saw that there were golden Buddha statues and paraphernalia placed in the room. The last time I saw them, I saw them. A young woman stood where Mr. Yu was sitting, looking at me with a smile. I blurted out for a moment and asked: "Are you a fool?" A strange and cheerful laughter came from the other side:
"He's gone."
"Where has he been?"
"I don't know. He transferred the store to me."
"How much did it cost to transfer it to you?"
< p>"He didn't ask for a penny!""Where are the things in his original gallery?"
"The furniture was given to Professor Lu next door to the east. The calligraphy and painting were groceries to the west. "In the shop and the store opposite."
To the east is the gallery opened by retired Professor Lu from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. The tables, chairs, bookcases and utensils used by Mr. Qingyu are all here. Professor Lu said: "Qingyu may have gone home. I don't want all the things." This Professor Lu is an arrogant and arrogant person. Liu Wenxi, the president of Ximei, was belittled to the point of disgrace in his mouth, but he had nothing to do with Qingyu. Mr. Yu has a good relationship. In his words: "There are many people with strong painting skills in Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, but very few who are psychics!"
The owner of the grocery store in the west is a calligraphy enthusiast, and he showed me Qing Yu Several calligraphy works given to him by his husband: "These are written by famous calligraphers, and they are to praise the innocent!" He said "praising" as "praising". I asked him if he could give me one? He said: "That won't work. These are the words of famous people and are very valuable!" Finally, he gave me a banner written by "Monk Beizheng" and addressed to Mr. Qingyu. Because he had no good impression at all of this poor lame monk who talked about Zen all day long.
There was a female owner of the store opposite. She said that Mr. Qingyu had put some paintings here and she had put them into the warehouse. She said: "Who wants it? No one wants it even if I give it away! Next time I see Teacher Li (Qingyu), I will ask him to take it away and don't put it here to take up space!"
I still plan to I went to the temple at the back to ask the abbot Jie Ming, where I saw a "Jie Ming Picture" painted by Mr. Qingyu. In the picture, an old man meditated with his eyes closed, and his body looked like a constantly changing dragon and phoenix. The head vaguely shows a mass of natural texture. I don’t know how it was formed. Jie Ming told me that there was a painting academy in the courtyard. He once wanted to ask Mr. Qingyu to help manage it, but he did not expect that Mr. Qingyu left without saying goodbye.
I seem to understand why Mr. Qingyu came to open a gallery at Daxingshan Temple in Xi'an. He did not do it to make money, he did it to practice Zen.
The Mystery of Psychics
Zen is the only discipline that cannot be explained and disseminated in words. Zen is transmitted from heart to heart, communicates with each other through spirit, and is obtained through self-enlightenment. Channeling is an individual's own experience, just like when a person drinks water, he knows whether it is hot or cold. So what will its external state be like? Perhaps it was Li Bai's poetic thoughts when he was drunk; perhaps it was Qu Yuan's excitement and madness when he "asked the sky"; perhaps it was the music and music that Nie Er heard after he became deaf; perhaps it was Van Gogh who regarded cutting off his own ears as a Modify your work! Or maybe it's a Zen practitioner who doesn't eat, drink or move for many days; or maybe it's someone who jumps down from the top of a building! Its feelings can be intense and wondrous, its effects can be shocking and puzzling. There have been performances of "psychics" all over the world since ancient times. We don't care about their authenticity for now. Now I want to tell a real story in a certain Western country: A gangster killed everyone at the scene, leaving only one who had his own identity. When the police arrived and were having trouble solving the case, the child, who was stupid and disabled, drew a criminal's appearance with a pen on paper. The police quickly caught the criminal based on the child's drawing. If this portrait can be regarded as a painting of psychics, then the unfathomable phenomenon of "psychicism" does not only patronize those who are knowledgeable. It is like the sunshine and air of nature, which are equal to everyone. Of course, the performance on everyone will not be the same.
So how can a person become a psychic? I accidentally found a self-introduction written by Mr. Qingyu, which seemed to contain some information in this regard. In a few words, he talked about providence, epiphany, accumulation, encounters, etc. This is what he wrote: "Idiot and taciturn, but his love for painting is out of his nature. He has done nothing in graffiti since he was a child. When he knew his destiny, he suddenly painted Buddha and his mind suddenly became enlightened. When he realized the way of channeling, his pen and ink poured out and all the gods descended from the sky. "
Qing Yu and Wu Guanzhong
Current scientific theory believes that people can travel to the past and the future faster than the speed of light, so some people have imagined time tunnels, and some are already experimenting with super-speed computers. Look at the future. But when exactly can this be achieved? Still unknown. So do psychics in Zen have such abilities? Zen scholars believe that spiritual communication is instantaneous, without distance or time, which means that its speed has exceeded the speed of light. According to scientific theory, it should be able to reach the past and the future. There is a Zen story like this: Wu Guanzhong saw Qingyu's paintings and wanted to meet him. After Qingyu learned about it, he said: "I want to see you too, we have already met." Wu Lao had no idea of meeting Qingyu. . Have they met? Some people say they haven't seen it, some people say they have. This Zen story illustrates that in a psychic state, people can see whomever they want, anywhere on the earth or in the universe. Do you want to meet Qin Shihuang three thousand years ago? The Zen master says to you: "Yes." Do you meet the Sun Wukong in your fantasy? The Zen master says to you: "It's okay." I think the Sun Wukong you see may be different from the Sun Wukong Wu Cheng'en saw! If I could be a psychic, I would like to go to the future three thousand years later to see what the earth and humanity will be like at that time.
Qing Yu and Gao Zeng'an
Gao Zeng'an (1930-1999), during his lifetime, he was the director of Shaanxi Province Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum Cultural Relics Management Office, Yu Youren, deputy secretary-general of the Calligraphy Society, and the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University Distinguished professors and other positions. He was diligent in archeology and research of cultural relics, and was immersed in the research and practice of "Yudi calligraphy" throughout his life. He achieved considerable artistic achievements in his later years. He has compiled research manuscripts on "The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor" and calligraphy handwriting manuscripts "Calligraphy Lecture Notes/Volume 1 and 2", etc.
In 1999, Mr. Xia Gao was hospitalized with cancer. At the last moment of his death, he suddenly asked: "Did you bring him the couplet I wrote to Qin Yu (Qingyu)?" Ge Yunqing came to visit him. The teacher hurriedly replied: "I've brought it, I've brought it." Mr. Gao then closed his eyes in relief. It turns out that some time ago, Ge Yunqing visited Mr. Gao at the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor. Mr. Gao specially wrote a couplet and asked him to bring it to Qingyu. Qingyu still wondered that he had never asked Mr. Gao for a word!
Qingyu was shocked after hearing what Mr. Ge said when he came back from the hospital. He hurriedly hung the couplet on the wall and stared at it, dumbfounded. He did not think about food or tea for three days, suffered from ringing in his ears, and finally fainted. After being rescued at the hospital, he was diagnosed with cerebral hemorrhage. After waking up, he was half dazed and half stupid. He was completely different from before. He retreated at home and rarely went out all day. Sometimes he went for a walk on the street and did not speak to anyone. Friends thought it was caused by extreme sadness. I still paint, but it is different from before. There are no green mountains and green waters, no singing of birds and fragrance of flowers. Instead, the paper is full of Arhats and Bodhisattvas. The pen and ink are weird, and fewer and fewer people like it. Among the piles of paintings he painted, you can occasionally find one or two good-looking paintings. Some people say they are "psychic" paintings!
Qingyu and Beizheng
"Beizheng" is a poor monk who is lame and travels all over the world.
He wears glasses and looks like a "literary monk". According to him, he came from a well-known and wealthy family and was once a talented student in a Buddhist academy. But no one believed him, because his image and behavior were completely different from those of talented students in Buddhist colleges and monks from wealthy families. His daily life is like a common beggar, just asking for food during the day and shelter from the wind and rain at night. His shabby luggage contained the Four Treasures of the Study, and he claimed to be a "calligrapher". In the spring of 2003, he traveled to Daxingshan Temple in Xi'an. The two galleries in the temple became his regular haunts, because except for the two shop owners (retired professors from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, Lu Anwei and Qing Yu) who treated him well, everyone else laughed at him. he.
Why do people laugh at Bei Zheng? Because he often demonstrated calligraphy in public, he would stand in front of the rice paper for a few minutes before falling into a coma. He could be seen using his pen and ink with extraordinary momentum, and his strokes seemed to flow like clouds and flowing water. After writing it, he boasted a lot and declared that "one word is worth a thousand dollars." However, no one knew what he wrote. What's even more ridiculous is that when he woke up from his daze and asked him again, he also looked blank. His strange behavior aroused everyone's ridicule, saying that he could only "speak Zen words and write Zen books".
One day, several calligraphers came to Qingyu’s gallery and were writing with great interest. Beizheng was also watching from the side. I don’t know who shouted: "Beizheng, come up and show your skills." !" I saw Beizheng limping forward and not getting into the mood as usual. He just followed the methods of other calligraphers and wrote a banner. I never expected that Bei Zheng’s calligraphy would be recognized by calligraphers! His banner read: "Serenity and peace, people and books, old people, innocent painters, righteous sorrow and correct grass are in Chang'an."
Now everyone knows that Bei Zheng can actually write, so what does he write on weekdays? Professor Lu and Mr. Qingyu said that what Bei Zheng wrote was a "spiritual Zen book".
Qing Yu and Lv Anwei Xia Jianzhen
Lv Anwei, male, professor at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. He and Liu Wenxi, the lifelong honorary professor of the college, were classmates and colleagues of the same generation.
Liu Wenxi is already a well-known painter, because his portrait of Mao Zedong was used on the RMB. And Lu An was still a little-known "associate professor" until his retirement (when someone called him "Professor Lu", he would always correct him first: "It's an associate professor!"). If someone praises Liu Wenxi's portrait of Mao Zedong in front of him, he will take you to his studio and show you the portrait of Mao Zedong painted by Liu Wenxi and the portrait of Mao Zedong he painted for you to compare. Under his guidance, you will find that the portraits of Mao Zedong painted by Liu Wenxi are all conceptual, and the people in northern Shaanxi he painted look like they were born to the same parents, while Lu Anwei's oil paintings of Mao Zedong are as real and natural as sketches. If you were an art teacher, you would definitely give Lu Anwei a high score of 90 points, and give Liu Wenxi a just-passing 60 points. However, the feedback treatment given by society is not as simple as giving scores to substitute teachers. Professor Lu is also a person who likes to make irresponsible remarks. The scandals of celebrities in the art world have become his daily joke. Liu Wenxi was even more useless in his mouth. I won’t recount the tidbits Professor Lu told here. However, Professor Lu is very friendly to Mr. Qingyu, not because Professor Lu’s gallery and Mr. Qingyu’s gallery are neighbors, but because when he first saw the Bodhisattvas and Arhats painted by Mr. Qingyu, he felt that they were not painted with a brush. Yes, it's like a gust of wind blowing from somewhere! He nodded and sighed: "There are many people with strong painting skills in Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, but there are very few who can be "psychic"!"
Xia Jianzhen, female, professor at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. He has been engaged in art basic and art theory education for many years. He is an art educator deeply loved by students and parents. Later, she took "Buddhist culture" and "spiritual statue" art as her research directions. However, this choice brought her great confusion and changes. She has many years of teaching experience and knowledge as a lecturer, but she is unable to explain the concept of "Zen" to her students. Her "Spiritual Portraits" picture album is far less popular than the basic textbook on flowers and birds. It is true to the old saying that "the white snow in the spring is high and the music is quiet, but the high place is not cold". She became a "lonely desert explorer"! Lonely, she often came to Daxingshan Temple not far from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, where she met Mr. Qingyu and gave him a "Spiritual Portrait Album". She wanted to find a shortcut to explain "Zen principles" to people here. The strange thing is that there were not many words in the communication process between her and Qingyu, but what she felt was information countless times more than words. She is increasingly convinced that although "Zen" is only studied by a few people, "Zen" is a subject that is closely related to everyone. For example, no one can explain what "love" is? Although countless writers and artists have told countless love stories to illustrate "love", in the end, someone summed up a famous saying: "Love cannot be said, and if you say it, it is wrong!" In fact, this is the famous saying in "Zen": " Zen cannot be said, and it would be wrong to say it! "Zen" is communicated and transmitted with the heart, and the same is true for "love". Without "heart", there is no "love". In the process of pursuing "love", countless people are actually pursuing the practice of "Zen". So what is a "psychic Zen painting" drawn with "mind" and "Zen"? Students should be allowed to "understand" it themselves, rather than "explaining it in words".

Qingyu (Li Qinyu) and I joined the army in the same year and have worked together for many years. I know their history well, but we have lost contact in recent years, but we can often meet each other on the street one day. When asked what he was busy with, he replied: "Not busy, very leisurely, hiding in the busy city or living alone in the mountains and forests." At the time, I thought he was joking, but now it seems that he is exploring and researching "psychic Zen painting". Qingyu is a kind and kind man, and I am not surprised at all by his achievements in "psychic Zen painting", because he was fond of calligraphy and painting since he was a child. When he was in the army, his art, photography and communication works were often seen in Newspapers and magazines are only slightly novel about its late artistic development direction turning to Buddhist culture!
