Tong (second sound) Yang (second sound), "Tong" is only used in Tong Town, Chaohu City, named after Tonghe, formerly known as Tonghe Town, named after Tong and Tong's water flow into Chaohu Lake. He Suihe, formerly known as Tonghe, originated in the southern foot of Tongshan in Feidong County, and He Suihe, formerly known as Yanghe, originated in Yangzi Mountain in the west of town. The two rivers meet in the south of the town and form the Yangtong River. In ancient times, due to frequent floods in towns and villages, people wanted to control water with fire, so they changed the word "Tong" and "Yang" beside the word "fire" in the river to "Tong", forming today's "Huxi River".
