How about Laiyuan Xiangshan Temple?
Laiyuan Xiangshan Temple is a cultural tourist attraction.
Xiangshan Temple is located at the east foot of Xiangshan Mountain in the north of Beishifu Village. According to research during the Northern Zhou Dynasty, there were monks who carved 369 statues on the cliffs on the mountain, hence the name "mountain inlay". The village in front of the mountain was named "Shifo Village". In order to distinguish the several villages that were later separated from North Shifo, Dongzhuang was called "Dong Shifo" and Nanzhuang was called "South Stone Buddha". The original Shifo The Buddhist village was changed to "North Stone Buddha". According to legend, in the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, shortly after Zhu Yuanzhang settled the country, he sent Liu Bowen to visit the north and south of the Yangtze River to learn about the customs and people's conditions in various places. Liu Bowen came to the foot of Yuhuang Liang in Foxiang Mountain in Beishi and found that the mountain was as winding as a crouching dragon. Liu Bowen was familiar with Huang Lao's studies. He discovered that the Jade Emperor Liang was moving towards the source of the Juma River. If it reached the source of the Juma River and connected with Heye Mountain, the world would be in chaos, and a true dragon would emerge from Laiyuan. The emperor competed with the Zhu Ming Dynasty for power. In order to break the feng shui of this place, Liu Bowen ordered the construction of Xiangshan Temple at the east foot of Xiangshan Mountain to suppress it, and at the same time built Zhenhai Temple on Heye Mountain. Sure enough, after the temple was built, the two mountains no longer grew, but connected with purple energy, showing an auspicious appearance.
Xiangshan Temple is the place where "Xiangshan Reflects" the twelve beautiful scenery of Laiyuan. It is said that on the day of the summer solstice, after the sun sets, standing in front of the temple can still see the dazzling rays of the sun. The scenery around the temple is charming and beautiful, but the dilapidated scene of Xiangshan Temple seems extremely inconsistent with the surrounding beauty. This withered Buddhist monastery has made Buddhist disciples and believers from all over the world sad, and it has also aroused the determination of Master Mingyin and the local government to restore its old appearance and carry it forward.
In order to restore Xiangshan Temple to its original appearance as soon as possible, Master Mingyin traveled around to raise project funds and traveled all over the country. After the project started, Master Mingyin visited the construction site in person to guide the craftsmen in the construction. It is Master Mingyin’s unremitting efforts that made Xiangshan Temple shine again as a Buddhist temple.
Nowadays, Xiangshan Temple has built the Main Hall and other buildings, and has re-established itself as a Buddhist temple and started to conduct some Buddhist activities for the outside world. In order to support the construction of the temple, the local government has specially granted more than 200 acres of construction land to the temple. After the entire temple is completed, it will be located on the terrain shaped like a Taishi chair. Master Mingyin and the monks and lay followers of Xiangshan Temple are preparing for the construction of other buildings such as the Sutra Library, Bell and Drum Tower, Guanyin Hall, and Ksitigarbha Hall.
