Is the gas water heater more energy-saving and more energy-saving?
The so-called solar terms are actually thermal efficiency. The higher the thermal efficiency, the more solar terms the water heater has. More truly, our users are often far away from technology and only blindly recognize logo. It seems that the first-class energy-efficient products will really be so economical. But from a technical point of view, such an idea will have many problems.
In order to convert the thermal energy produced by combustion into the internal energy (i.e. temperature) of water as much as possible, we should start with technology. The common practice is that the material of the water tank is as thin as possible, the heat exchange fins are as many as possible, and the waterway bends several times around the flue gas as much as possible. However, the defects can not be ignored. The water tank is easy to leak due to sand holes, and the water tank is easy to be blocked by carbon deposits. The existence of these defects not only reduces the service life of the water tank, but also makes the thermal efficiency of the product decrease rapidly during use.
My suggestion is that thermal efficiency is not easy to pursue excessively. China people attach too much importance to this figure, which shows that we don't understand technology. In Europe, America and Japan, in developed areas, users rarely pursue energy-efficient products, because the prices of real energy-efficient products are very scary.
