What's wrong with the car idling?

The normal idle speed of most cars is between 700 and 800 rpm, and some cars are lower or higher. If the idle speed of the car is abnormal, there must be something wrong and it needs to be checked in time, otherwise the fuel consumption will increase, or the engine will stall or the comfort will become worse. With more kilometers and older cars, we often encounter abnormal idle speed. There are three common idle faults: unstable idle speed, high idle speed and low idle speed. The following are the most likely reasons for these situations. Don't spend money on maintenance.

1. Idle speed is unstable. In terms of idle speed, unstable idle speed is the highest fault, and cars traveling 30,000 to 50,000 kilometers will also appear. The phenomenon is that the engine tachometer is unstable. In a serious car, you can feel the obvious jitter, and the engine is also shaking when the hood is opened. The common reason is that the throttle is dirty, which can be solved by cleaning the throttle. There are two aspects to pay attention to. In order to solve this problem, many stores may not only let the owner clean the throttle, but also let the fuel nozzle, air intake and carbon deposit in the cylinder be cleaned together, and sometimes it will cost money. As for whether to clean it, you need to check it before you decide. If it is really dirty, it needs cleaning. If it's not dirty, you don't need to wash it. Second, a car with an idle motor should not only clean the throttle, but also remove the idle motor for cleaning. Idle motor is the fundamental reason that determines the instability of idle speed, and it is impossible to wash the throttle without washing the idle motor.

2. High idle speed. If the idle speed is high, the fault light will be on in most cases, and the car cannot run normally. Whether it is automatic or manual, the start will not be smooth, and the low speed is not easy to control. The most common reason for high idle speed is air leakage in the intake pipe, such as the vacuum pipe falling off or breaking, and the intake pipe clamp not being tightened. In short, it is air leakage. It is also possible that the throttle or idle motor is broken and needs to be replaced. If you clean the throttle yourself, then the high idle speed is normal, and the computer needs to be re-matched to return to normal.

3. Low idle speed. This problem is not very common. If it happens, either there is a lot of carbon deposit in the throttle or the throttle is broken. There is a lot of carbon deposit in the throttle, which is often encountered. Not only the problem of low idle speed, but also the problem of not catching fire directly. You have to step on the accelerator to catch fire. This is the obvious phenomenon that the throttle is dirty. So, if the car doesn't catch fire, don't keep fighting. Step on the gas when you strike a fire. This can eliminate the problem of carbon deposition.

How do I know if my car is idling normally? Usually when you are on fire, pay more attention to the idle speed of your car. It is normal to cool the car a little higher, because there is a preheating process. When the water temperature is normal, the idle speed will always be stable at a value. If it is high or low, it is not normal. In fact, if the idle speed is abnormal, there will be a fault, and if the idle speed is unstable, the vehicle will feel serious jitter; If the idle speed is high, the fault light will light up and the engine noise will become louder, so it is difficult to control the start; If the idle speed is low, it is easy to turn off the fire, and it is not easy to strike a fire after turning off the fire. You don't need to look at the instrument, you can know that there is a problem with idle speed only through these phenomena. If there is no such phenomenon, the idle speed is normal.
