Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty has been recognized as the founder of Feng Shui Kanyu since ancient times
Guo Pu, courtesy name Jingchun, was born in Wenxi, Hedong (now Shanxi Province). He is not only a litterateur and evangelist, but also a master of Taoist mathematics and the founder of immortal poetry. Volume 13 of "Taiping Guangji" records that he "knew everything about natural history, had a way out of the world, astronomy and geography, and turtles and dragons."
Historical records are quite legendary. This man was erudite and talented. He once annotated "Erya", "San Cang", "Dialect", "Shan Hai Jing", "Chu Ci", and "The Biography of Emperor Mu". ", and also wrote literary works such as "Poems on Traveling Immortals" and "Jiang Fu". He is known as a litterateur, immortalist, and exegesis expert. Guo Pu wrote the "Book of Burial" (also known as "The Book of Burial"), which comprehensively discussed the theory and practice of Feng Shui and laid the foundation for passing down geographical Kanyu. Therefore, people also call Guo Pu the originator of Feng Shui and the master of Kanyu.
The practical skills of various sects of earth masters were created by Yang Gonggong
Yang Gong refers to Yang Junsong in the late Tang Dynasty. When mentioning this person, it is natural to use the honorific title, subconsciously referring to Yang Junsong. Junsong is more respected than Guo Pu.
Yang Junsong is a famous Feng Shui master. Throughout his life, he had devoted himself to hard work and sympathized with the poor. He spared no effort in helping the poor. He was highly respected by the people and was well known among the people. The world called him the Immortal who saved the poor, so he was also called Yang to save the poor. During the reign of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty, Doctor Yang Junsong, Jin Ziguanglu, was in charge of the geographical affairs of Lingtai. Later, he retired and traveled around Jingyan Mountain. He was very powerful. Finally, he lived in Yangxianling, Taozhou, observed the scenery, wrote treatises, developed Yang Gongpan, and taught his apprentices the art. A lifetime full of peaches and plums.
Yang Junsong’s various works are also regarded as Feng Shui classics of various schools in later generations, including "Shaking the Dragon Sutra", "Suspicious Dragon Sutra", "Eighteen Questions of Suspicious Dragons", "Burial Method with an Inverted Staff" Jiang "Twenty-Four Sand Burial Methods", "Qingnang Aoyu", "Tianyu Sutra" and "Tianyu Sutra" have been handed down from generation to generation, and are all included in the Wenyuan Pavilion Sikuquanshu.
It is not an exaggeration to say that if we trace the origins of various Feng Shui schools today, they all came from Yang Gong’s sect. Before Yang Gong, there was no one who could be called an earth master.
