Steps for painting trees with gouache
Steps for painting trees with gouache:
1. First, I draw a thick trunk of a big tree. I chose brown to draw vertical lines and combined them like this. To draw a tree, you must first have knowledge and feelings about the tree, analyze its structure, trends, types and characteristics, and then summarize several types of trees for easy depiction. All kinds of trees are composed of trunks, branches and leaves, but each type of tree has its own unique characteristics.
2. I chose light green gouache painting, dotted leaf-like dots, and then formed a big circle. Leaves are a difficult point in drawing trees. There are many types of trees, and the shape and density of the leaves often become signs of differentiating trees. The leaves in watercolor paintings are not like Chinese paintings or oil paintings. They have their own unique style of painting.
3. I still use this colored dot to fill it inside the leaf.
4. Choose a darker gouache inside and paint some dots unevenly. The layers of a big tree are completed in this way, and then we can send some floating leaves below.
If you want to capture the characteristics of leaf-shaped combinations, you need to be concise and concise with your brushes. Therefore, before you draw trees, you must also understand the growth patterns of the leaves of various trees. Leaves are in clusters. When we draw leaves that grow centripetally (concentrated) on small branches, we only need to draw the appearance characteristics, use colors that can express the tree, and draw them in the order of light and dark.
5. To draw the ground, choose brown color and draw horizontal lines!
6. Choose blue gouache and draw clouds in the sky. Now a perfect tree is completed.
