Brief introduction of Luan Feng Temple in Shahe
According to records, there was a temple at the foot of Da 'an Mountain before the Song Dynasty. I wonder when it was built. In the early years of Song Xiangfu (A.D. 1008), the title of the country rose to the middle, and the mountain was closed. In the second year of Kangding (A.D. 1040), Luan Feng Temple was rebuilt, and a monument was carved, which recorded in detail the creation, scale and hosting of Luan Feng Temple. In the fourth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1577), the Buddhist Temple of Luan Feng Temple was rebuilt. In the 24th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1597), the lotus pond was dug and the moon bridge was built. During the years of Qing Qianlong, Jiaqing and Guangxu, it was expanded and added many times. When Luan Feng Temple flourished, there were four major architectural communities: there were two halls on the river bank. Sitting in the Upper Temple, the East-west facing, the Great Compassion Pavilion is its main building, which is tall and majestic, surrounded by columns, and there are 24-arm wood-carved Buddha statues in the hall. In front of the temple, there are four halls of heavenly kings and surrender platforms in turn. Build a bell tower at the door and hang a big clock. The bell is loud and can travel more than twenty miles. Sitting in the lower hall facing south, the hall is towering, and the Buddha statue in the hall reflects the golden light, with a kind face and a peaceful and sacred expression. There are forest of steles, Lianchi, Qiaoyue and Tianwang Temple in front of the temple. There are Longwang Temple, theater, meditation room and squatter room outside. There are two architectural communities on the bank of Hebei, nuns, which are divided into upper house and lower house, meditation room and so on. There is a temple to the west of the nun.
Since the Song Dynasty, Empress Cao has been famous all over the country because of the order of incense. Ask the Zen master, "Sichuan goes to the clouds, and believers from all directions turn to refuge first." Yanzhou, Jining, Yunzhou, Zhiming and Zhifu in Shandong have all come here to make pilgrimages. After Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, incense continued for thousands of years. At its peak, there were more than 200 monks and nuns. The sects are divided into generations: generally enlightened, pure and broad, displaying wisdom is dominant and smooth, and it can continue to be benevolent and eternal, which is beyond the reach of ordinary temples. Luan Feng Temple, Beijing Guangren Temple, Changzhou Longquan Temple and Qianfoyan Jing 'an Temple all sent monks and envoys to give lectures and exchange. There are monks in Luan Feng Temple, Longquan Temple, Gongdewang Temple, Jingyu Temple and Shangjiao Temple in Wu 'an, Shahe. At the foot of Da 'an Mountain, there is a magnificent stone pagoda forest with more than 20 stone pagodas, which are beautifully shaped and well-made, and are the tombs of eminent monks in past dynasties.
