Can strawberries be planted in the tropics? What are the requirements for the temperature?

Strawberries have strong adaptability to temperature, and like warm climate, but they are not resistant to high temperature and have certain cold tolerance. In early spring, when the local temperature reaches 2℃, the roots will start to move, and when it reaches 1℃, new roots will emerge. The optimum temperature for root growth is 15 ~ 2℃, and when the soil temperature drops to -8℃ in winter, the roots will be harmed. When the temperature is 5℃, the aboveground parts begin to grow. When the temperature drops to -1℃, the plants will be frozen. In case of flowering, the pistil will be frozen and the center of the flower will turn black. The optimum temperature for the growth of strawberry seedlings is 18 ~ 23℃, and the optimum temperature for photosynthesis is 15 ~ 25℃. When the temperature exceeds 3℃ in summer, the growth is inhibited. The optimum temperature for pollen germination is 25 ~ 27℃. When the flowering period is lower than ℃ or higher than 4℃, it will hinder pollination, affect seed development and lead to abnormal fruit. The optimum temperature is 18 ~ 2℃ in the daytime of fruit expansion. Higher daytime temperature can promote fruit coloring and ripening, but the fruit is small and the harvest time is early. In the range of 17 ~ 3℃, when the accumulated temperature reaches about 6℃, it can be colored and matured. It takes 3 days to ripen at an average temperature of 2℃ and only 2 days at 3℃. The cold resistance of strawberry seedlings after frost and low temperature exercise in late autumn is greatly improved, and the bud can withstand the low temperature of-1 ~-15℃.
