Introduction from the director of Wudang Mountain Taoist Traditional Martial Arts Hall

Yuan Xiugang, Taoist name: Shi Mao (mào), is the 15th generation martial arts successor of Sanfeng Sect in Wudang Mountain and the founder of Wudang Mountain Taoist Traditional Martial Arts Hall. I have been passionate about martial arts since I was a child. I learned folk boxing from a folk boxer when I was in elementary school. After graduating from junior high school, I studied Shaolin martial arts for three years at the "China Heyi Kung Fu Hall". In March 1991, he climbed Wudang Mountain and studied Wudang martial arts under Zhong Yunlong, the martial arts successor of Wudang Sanfeng Sect. In 1993, the Wudang Taoist Association established the "Wudang Taoist Martial Arts Team" and was selected with excellent results. At the same time, he entered the "Taoist Culture Class" of the Wudang Taoist Association. In addition to studying Taoist culture and Taoist scriptures and repentance, he also studied Taoist martial arts, health-preserving exercises and inner alchemy techniques, and studied Taoist medicine, acupuncture, twelve meridian massage, etc. in his spare time. After years of hard work and hard training, he has mastered the essence of Wudang Neijia boxing, and has learned Taoist inner elixirs, various qigong and health-preserving exercises. In 2004, he founded the "Wudang Mountain Taoist Traditional Martial Arts Hall" with the hope that Wudang Sanfeng sect's martial arts will spread to all over the world and let people experience the charm and power of traditional Chinese martial arts.
