What does the Bodhisattva mean by borrowing from the library?
On the day of Bodhisattva Borrowing Library, Xiqiao Mountain will hold a series of traditional folk activities in China, such as opening a treasury, delivering rice in the Spring Festival and praying for blessings in the Spring Festival. During the Spring Festival, 65,438+million believers from the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will flock to Guanyin Mountain to climb and pray, borrow money from Guanyin Bodhisattva, and pray for a peaceful and auspicious New Year. Bodhisattva's borrowing day is Guanyin's borrowing day. It is said that when Master Guanyin practiced, there were 500 protectors. In order to evaluate the spiritual achievements of Master Guanyin, they became monks on earth and went to Kannonji to beg for food to satisfy their hunger. When Master Guanyin saw a monk asking for help, he opened the warehouse to let the monks enjoy all kinds of exquisite vegetarian dishes. When 500 monks filled their stomachs, the rest of the food was left to the good believers who came to visit. Since then, the evening of the 25th day of the first lunar month has been designated as "the opening day of Guanyin". On this day every year, thousands of believers from Qian Qian flock to Kannonji to pray and borrow the library, hoping that the money will prosper after borrowing.
