Who knows the origin of Tianjin?
After Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, ascended the throne, he divided his sons into kings and stationed them all over the country. His fourth son, Judy, was made a prince and stationed in Peiping, which is now Beijing. After Zhu Yuanzhang's death, he passed it on to his eldest grandson Zhu Yun. In order to compete with Zhu Yun for the throne, Judy launched the "Battle of Jingnan" in the history of China. 1399, Judy, the prince of Yan, led his army south, crossed the river from Sanchakou, Tianjin, and attacked Cangzhou. 1402, invaded Nanjing, the capital of the Ming dynasty, and ascended the throne of the emperor. After Judy acceded to the throne, she admired the Sanchahekou he passed when he fought in the world. He thought it was a treasure trove of geomantic omen and asked his minister to give them names. Finally, Judy chose the word "Tianjin", which means "the son of heaven crossed the land of Tianjin", hence the name Tianjin. Soon, Judy moved to Beijing, Tianjin became the gateway of Beijing, and its military status became increasingly important. In the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1404), Wei was established in Tianjin. Wei was the military establishment of the Ming Dynasty, and Tianjin * * * set up three guards with more than 16,000 troops. Therefore, people also call Tianjin Tianjinwei. Building a city is building a city, and Tianjin, as a complete urban history, started from here.
Tracing back to the origin of Tianjin, it is not difficult to find that it is closely related to water. The word "ancient" in the annals of ancient times refers to the village near the water, so Tianjin is also called the land of retreating from the sea. Today, on the wetland near Bohai Sea in Tianjin, the oyster beach and shell dike witnessed the great changes here in ancient times, and recorded the history of ancestors' netting and reproduction by the river.
Sanchahekou, now located in downtown Tianjin, is the earliest birthplace of Tianjin. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was once a water transport hub and a flood and drought wharf on the Grand Canal. The historical documents of the Palace Museum in Tian Fei recorded the development and changes of Tianjin.
During the three years in Jin Zhenyou, the Jin Dynasty established a military facility-Zhigu Village in Sanchahekou area. In the Yuan Dynasty, "Zhigu Village" was changed to "Haijin Town", and in the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Tianjinwei was established. Villages, towns and health centers are all military installations. In the Qing Dynasty, Tianjin changed from Wei to Zhou, and Tianjin was changed into an administrative system. The argument that Tianjin originated from the military can be confirmed by many village names preserved so far. Xiaonanhe Village not only has the word "Zhai" in its name, but also has many heroes in history. But times are developing, like Xuguantun Village, which has become a modern town from Tianjin to beijing expressway. Historian Luo is the author of Tianjin City History, and the origin of the word "Tianjin" is exactly the question he wants to answer in the book.
