Stone pillars in Furong Fairy Cave
As stalagmites and stalactites continue to grow, they are finally connected to form columns, which are called stone pillars. As they grow, the caves will eventually be filled and sealed.
Stone pillars, stalagmites and stalactites are the main parts of the cave's beauty.
Stone pillars, there are two landscapes of male stone pillars and female stone pillars in Wanshou Mountain in Shizhu County, collectively called stone pillars.
The stone pillar is located in Xiadong Town, Dianbai County. One theory is that it was built between the Southern Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty. Another theory is that the age cannot be determined. Starting from Xia Cave and extending southward towards the seaside, there are 1 to 9 stone pillars every 1 to 1.5 kilometers, arranged in an arc. Each stone pillar has a different height, generally about 4 meters high, with large bottom and small top. Three longitudinal sides are flat, and one side is curved. The curved side faces the sea, and the flat side faces Fushan. Next to a stone pillar, there is a stone boat buried, with a length of about 3 meters, a thickness of about 0.2 meters, and a width of about 0.8 meters. It is slightly tilted at both ends and is carved from a single stone.
There are many legends about the purpose of stone pillars, and there are six general formulations:
(1) Feng shui purpose, which was set up due to superstition that the terrain is unfavorable in one direction.
(2) Ship poles commemorate the arrival of Mrs. return).
(3) Road signs. Some people think that in ancient times, slangs lived here together, and the messengers did not erect signs. If they went astray, they were often killed, so road signs were needed.
(4) Boundary number. Some people think that the so-called Hanren Slope refers to the area where Han people lived to the south of Fushan Ridge in ancient times and to the north were the residential areas of Lili. This is the boundary.
(5) Some people think it is a boundary stone in the Qing Dynasty. After the Qing Dynasty destroyed the Ming Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty refused to obey the rule of the Qing Dynasty and often caused chaos on the sea. It was quasi-settled, so the stone was set up as a boundary.
(6) Some people think that this place has a totem function.
