Su Dongpo: What happened to our Capricorn?

We know that since modern society, many people have the habit of keeping a diary. In ancient China, there were not many diaries, but many people took notes. Later, literary styles such as notebook style and notebook novel were developed. Because note writing is an essay record of reading and leisure life, it is not strictly limited by the way of composition, and it is free to ask questions, so it produces a lot of interesting essays.

Although Su Shi, a great writer in the Song Dynasty, had a rough life, he not only liked reading, but also left a lot of notes. I learned to visit Chengtian Temple at night when I was in middle school. This article is taken from his notebook "Dongpo Zhi Lin". Recently, I read an interesting passage in the life section of Dongpo Zhi Lin:

"Retreat the poem cloud: When I was born, the month stayed straight. I know that grinding scorpions is my palace and my life after retirement. I have been slandered many times in my life, and I am getting sick! "

Retreat is Han Yu's word. The meaning of this sentence is probably that he saw Han Yu write a sentence "I was born, fighting in the moonlight", and then learned that his life palace was "grinding scorpions", and then attributed the cause of bad life to fate.

I don't know the astronomical phenomena, and I don't know what "the sun and the moon compete for brilliance" means. Su Shi was born in Song Renzong on1February 19, 2003. The translation is 1037 65438+ 10/8. In other words, Su Shi is Capricorn. Is Su Shi's grinding scorpion what we now call Capricorn? After reading some materials, I found that not only Su Shi's Grinding Scorpions is Capricorn, but in ancient China, the theory of twelve constellations was actually very perfect. Su Shi is such a black Capricorn, and it is really a fight with today's black Virgo!

The twelve constellations first came from Babylon, Cuba, and later spread to Greece, and then to India through Greece. In the process of spreading in India, it was combined with Buddhist scriptures and introduced into China together with Buddhist scriptures. Su Dongpo has a good relationship with Buddhist monks and has a deep study of Buddhism. It is estimated that it is for this reason that he knows his horoscope so well.

The twelve constellations invented by Babylonians were originally mainly used in astronomy and calendars. We now know that the earth moves around the sun. This orbit is called the ecliptic. In the traditional society of China, it is often said that the ecliptic is auspicious, which refers to the fixed position of the earth's revolution. Astronomers in Babylon divided the ecliptic into twelve equal parts and twelve constellations. At first, it was used to confirm the time and know what month it was.

In the process of spreading in Greece and India, the theory of the zodiac added some numerology theories that we know now. Indians combine the theory of the zodiac with Buddhism, so there are records related to the zodiac in Buddhist scriptures.

Dalagni Jing, published in the fifth year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty (972), is an annular twelve constellations. If you count Aquarius directly below, it is Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Libra, Sagittarius and Capricorn. It may be because the craftsman who carved the scriptures was careless, or it may be because there was a mistake in communication at that time, and Leo was missed, and the order of Scorpio and Libra was misplaced.

The Ruiguang Temple site in the Song Dynasty in Suzhou also found a copy of "Da Sui Qi Da La Ni Jing" published in the second year of Jingdezhen in the Northern Song Dynasty (1005), with a circular picture of the Twelve-Star Palace on it. The pattern is very clear, almost the same as the twelve-star pattern we see today, but the winged monster with Jackie Chan's head painted in Capricorn Palace is different from the common sheep's head picture today.

The mural unearthed in Xuanhua Liao Tomb (the tomb says that Shi Qing died in the sixth year of the Qing Dynasty in Liao Dynasty, that is,116) also has a picture of twelve-star palaces, which are Aries Palace, Taurus Palace, Twin Uterus, Cancer Palace, Lion Palace, Maiden Palace, Libra Palace, Scorpio Palace, Capricorn Palace and Capricorn Palace in turn. Except that the pattern of Jinniu Palace was destroyed by stolen caves, the pattern of the other eleven palaces remained intact.
