Yangtou Town is located in the southeast of Zhongshan County, downstream of Fujiang River, with a total area of 160 square kilometers. It governs 12 village committees and 79 natural villages, with a total cultivated land area of 2,950 hectares, grain planting area of 4,869 hectares, cash crops area of 2,960 hectares and forested land area of 55 18.2 hectares. The total population is 37,735, including 36,759 in rural areas and 7 19 in Yao, Miao Zhuang and other ethnic minorities. In 2000, it was designated as an old revolutionary base area.

The town is connected with the county seat through the third-class highway, and the traffic in each village in the town is very convenient. There are two hydropower stations in the town, with sufficient power supply; Program-controlled telephones are spread all over the town and villages, with an installed capacity of 600.

Yangtou Town is a typical agricultural town with rich land resources. Basic agriculture is mainly based on planting rice, corn, sweet potato, peanut, cassava, sugarcane, red melon seeds and flue-cured tobacco. In recent years, the whole town has engaged in comprehensive agricultural development and paid close attention to the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure, mainly introducing cash crops such as oil box, yam, taro, lettuce, water chestnut and arrowhead. At the same time, relying on the advantages of electricity, we will vigorously develop industries such as coal and paper.

In 2007, it was designated as Babu District, Hezhou City, under the jurisdiction of Pinggui Management District.
