Introduction of Cuihua Mountain Scenic Area
Cuihua Mountain, located in Taiyigong Town, Chang 'an District, xi City, Shaanxi Province, is the branch peak of Zhong Nanshan, located at the northern foot of Qinling Mountain, 20 kilometers away from Xi City, with the main peak of Zhong Nanshan at an altitude of 2,604 meters, with a total area of 32 square kilometers. Because Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty once offered sacrifices to Taiyi God here, it is also called Taiyi Mountain. There is a Cuihua Temple on the mountainside, where a statue of Lady Cuihua is enshrined. According to folklore, Lady Cuihua fled here to get married for free, and later became an immortal, hence the name Cuihua Mountain.
Cuihua Mountain consists of Tianchi landslide science popularization area, Ganqiuchi forest fitness area and Fangmu ecological leisure area. The scenic spot is famous for its landslide landform which integrates mountains, rocks, caves, water and forests. The main attractions are Tianchi, Ganqiuchi, geological museum, and Shen Dao Tour of Emperor Taiyi.
1993, the scenic spot where Cuihua Mountain is located was rated as "provincial scenic spot"; 1997, Cuihua Mountain was rated as "Top Ten Scenery of Xi Tourism"; 200 1, Cuihuashan was named "Shaanxi Cuihuashan Landslide Landscape National Geopark" by the Ministry of Land and Resources. In 2002, Cuihua Mountain Scenic Area was rated as "AAAA-level tourist attraction" by the National Tourism Administration. In 2009, Cuihua Mountain Scenic Area was named "Zhong Nanshan World Geopark in Qinling Mountains" by UNESCO. On 20 10, the scenic spot where Cuihua Mountain is located was rated as "Ping 'an Demonstration Scenic Spot in Shaanxi Province".
