Maoming City is a city in Guangdong Province. Maoming, a prefecture-level city in Guangdong Province. In spring and summer, the warm mass from the south lifts up, resulting in abundant rainfall in the mountainous areas in the southern part of the city. Mountainous areas have many rivers and abundant water resources. They are major areas for forestry and hydropower development.

Climate

Maoming City is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone. The monsoon is obvious and the climate types are diverse. Northerly winds prevail in winter and southeasterly winds prevail in summer.
