What causes scapular pain?
1) scapular fascia syndrome
Scapular fascia syndrome is a chronic painful disease of neck, shoulder and back, and it is aseptic inflammation of soft tissues such as tendons, fascia and joint capsule around scapula. Most of them happen around the age of 50. Women are more than men, and the onset is slow. Patients often suffer from chronic pain without effective treatment, which affects their daily life. Clinically, it is generally diagnosed as cervical spondylosis or scapulohumeral periarthritis. Scapular fascia syndrome, also known as shoulder and back myofascitis, is mostly caused by acute injury, chronic strain, overwork, cold, bad posture, emotional excitement and other factors.
2) levator scapulae strain
Levator scapulae's strain has a long history of working at his desk or neck sprain and contusion, mainly manifested as back pain, which is often aggravated by bowing his head or weather changes, and relieved after activities. Patients often shrug their shoulders and shrink their heads to relieve pain. Some patients may have symptoms of cervical spondylosis at the same time. Examination showed tenderness in the upper cervical spine and tenderness in the upper part of the inner corner of the scapula. This muscle can sometimes touch the cord or feel peeling, and acute hair often touches muscle tension. Generally, this disease will not cause neck and shoulder motor dysfunction.
3) Subscapular bursitis
The subscapular fluid sac is located in the anterior medial side of the humeral head, between the subscapular tendon and the shoulder joint sac. There is communication between it and the joint cavity, and it connects the glenohumeral intermediate ligament up and down. In the glenoid joint, some synovial folds overlap each other, and usually the inflammation of synovial sac is secondary to the inflammation of glenohumeral joint. Pain and tenderness appear inside the shoulder joint and below the coracoid process during the attack, which affects the internal and external rotation and abduction function of the shoulder joint.
4) pat the shoulder
When the shoulder joint moves, some people have a rustling or clicking sound in their shoulder blades, which often brings troubles and worries to people, thinking that they are seriously ill and bring certain psychological pressure. The disease generally develops slowly without obvious inducement, and a few cases may have a history of trauma; Poor posture and drooping scapula are related to the onset; Except noise, there is no pain and discomfort in the scapula, and scapula movement disorder may occur due to pain; Snap generally exists in active motion and does not appear in passive motion.
