In Yaoshan Township, 30 kilometers away from Libo County, Guizhou Province, there is a village called Lata Village, which is hidden in the mountains and seems to be isolated from the world. The sunset is shrouded in mountains, mysterious and dreamy.
Simple Yao people live here and retain the most complete national culture, which is called "the living fossil of mankind" by the United Nations. I recorded this poetic mountain village by aerial photography. Nowadays, the development of tourism has made foreigners know about the ancient town of Yaoshan, and it has become a scenic spot in 4A.
Most of the villagers here belong to a branch of Yao nationality: Bai Yao. Different from other ethnic minority villages in Guizhou, the houses here are all granary-style and diaojiaolou-style, which is very unique.
Walking on the village road, I also met a naive and lovely little girl in the village. I asked her if she could show us the way. She readily agreed and didn't see the timidity and shyness of strangers, which made me very happy.
There are many old people living in the village. Compared with the bustling city, they prefer to be close to nature, simple and full of life.
They are self-sufficient in the stockade near the mountains and rivers. The fresh environment always has a kind of comfortable magic, which makes people complacent as soon as they meet it.
The life of the local people is very unpretentious. Many villagers will weave and dye homespun at home and sew their own clothes. Maybe that's why. Only in the countryside can harmony be beautiful.
