Bitter gourd planting method
1, planting time
The planting time of bitter gourd should be in March-April in spring. At this time, the appropriate temperature can improve the survival rate of seeds, but also depends on the situation in different regions. If the weather is cold, the key is to pay attention to greenhouse cultivation and promote germination.
2. Germination acceleration period
Before planting, select full seeds that are easy to survive and grow vigorously, peel off the epidermis of the seeds, soak them in warm water for 24 hours, let them slowly absorb water and expand, then put them into the culture medium to accelerate germination, and generally germinate in about a week after keeping moisture.
3. Soil requirements
Bitter gourd grows faster in loose and breathable soil rich in organic matter. The soil layer can be loosened and disinfected before planting, which can improve the survival rate. After applying base fertilizer to the soil layer at one time, the key is organic fertilizer.
4. Planting management
Plant the well-germinated seedlings into the soil respectively, and keep the plants in an astigmatism environment. After 3-5 leaves grow, they can be transplanted well. Water should be poured thoroughly once, and pancake fertilizer solution should be applied once every half month to promote growth.
