since the sui and Tang dynasties, chishan has been a famous mountain in Liaodong, which is located in wan fu zhen, 4km southeast of gaizhou city, Liaoning province, with Buyun Mountain in the east and Jade Reservoir in the north. In 217, chishan was rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot, and it has been famous ever since. So where did the name of chishan come from?

There are many legends about the origin of the name Chishan. It is said that the nine sons of the Dragon King passed the Biliu River to play while traveling around the world, which caused the local river to soar, and countless crops and houses on both sides of the river were washed away. Just when the people were in danger, a golden bull fell from the sky, blocking the way of the nine dragons and driving them all out of the Biliu River. The golden bull blocked the estuary with its own body, and finally the soaring river subsided and the people were rescued. In order to prevent Longzi from continuing to make trouble in the future, Jinniu specially moved nine peaks to block the estuary, which is known to the local people as Jiulonggang, which is now Chishan. With the protection of Jinniu, Chishan has become a well-known land of geomantic omen. Of course, legend is a legend after all. According to the present statement, whenever the sun rises, the red rocks on the top of the mountain will be reflected by the red sun, turning the surrounding mountains into crimson, so it is affectionately called Chishan.

Of course, Chishan Scenic Area itself has a very long history, with the highest peak at 891.1m above sea level. It is said that Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, conquered Korea, spent the summer in this mountain and built the Kaijie Temple, which was remembered by a monument. In the quiet canyon, a series of legendary natural caves were born, such as the shady cave of the Tang King for summer vacation, the general cave of Xue Li's soldiers, the immortal cave of Lv Dongbin's alchemy, and the Chaoyang cave of the soldiers and civilians. It really takes some effort to see all these caves in one day.

Compared with other mountains that have been visited, the plank roads and trails built in Chishan Scenic Area are quite meticulous. From the wooden plank road on the left to the stone steps on the right, there are sufficient preparations for the passengers going up and down the mountain. Besides, there is a pavilion for people to rest not far from the stream or waterfall, which is quite comprehensive. The glass plank road in the middle section also adds a lot of fun for tourists to climb mountains on foot, and there are not a few tourists who meet with their children along the way.

Longtan Temple on the mountainside has a history of more than 1,3 years. It was built in the Tang Dynasty. Its predecessor, Kaijie Temple, was built by the Tang King to commemorate the victory of the Eastern Expedition. Later, when the temple was rebuilt in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, because there was a pool of clear water in front of the temple named Longtan, the name of the temple was later changed to the present Longtan Temple. The natural ecology in Chishan Scenic Area is extremely rich. There are many natural caves in the mountain, such as Xianren Cave, Chuanxin Cave, Shady Cave, Chaoyang Cave, Moon Cave, etc. In addition, there are Dalian Pavilion, Pearl Pavilion, Slotted Pavilion, Xuanmen Pavilion, Triassic Waterfall, Xizhu Waterfall, Careful Slope Waterfall, etc., with nearly 1, mu of virgin forest, towering ancient trees and gurgling streams everywhere, which is very cool. It is really cool to come here in summer.
